In Flames albums ranked
All of In Flames' albums ranked from best to worst. |
| 1 | | In Flames Colony
Classic melodeath album. Without a doubt their best. 4.5/5 |
| 2 | | In Flames The Jester Race
Close to being their best. Songs like Moonshield and December Flower really stand out. 4.5/5 |
| 3 | | In Flames Whoracle
Slightly less interesting than The Jester Race but it's a damn fine record nonetheless. 4/5 |
| 4 | | In Flames Clayman
A more accesible and toned down version of Colony imo. But it's still a great album. 4/5 |
| 5 | | In Flames Lunar Strain
Typical first album (still great though). 4/5 |
| 6 | | In Flames Come Clarity
In Flames' best post-Clayman album. The melodic "accessible" parts somehow coexist perfectly with the heavier parts. 4/5 |
| 7 | | In Flames Soundtrack to Your Escape
Definitely a deviation from anything else they've ever done. I can see why some people hated it, but I personally find it a very solid and entertaining record. 3.5/5 |
| 8 | | In Flames Sounds of a Playground Fading
This one is very melodic, but a very enjoyable record nonetheless. In my opinion the last good album that In Flames ever made. 3/5 |
| 9 | | In Flames Reroute to Remain
Still good, but definitely not my favourite. 3/5 |
| 10 | | In Flames A Sense of Purpose
Not their best, but still quite enjoyable. 3/5 |
| 11 | | In Flames Siren Charms
They really took a drastic turn for the worse on this. Boring riffs, loud obnoxious drums, bad production, atrocious vocals (to the point where they make it practically unlistenable). The only silver lining is that the album does have its own atmosphere and there are still some fun moments to be found. 2/5 |
| 12 | | In Flames Battles
In Flames' absolute worst album to date. It's almost shocking how they somehow managed to produce something worse than Siren Charms. This is In Flames' ultimate attempt at being radio-friendly pop rock, but even by those standards this is as lifeless as it can get. Boring and uninspired songwriting, terrible lyrics, terrible vocals that have been autotuned to death to make them sound somewhat more listenable, and sterile production. No originality whatsoever. 1/5 |
