| These People Need More Love
This is the flip-side to my overrated musicians list (which is apparently pissing people off but its just my opinions). Anyways, these people really need to be recognized more methinks... | 1 | Andrew Yorke
The man is a classical guitar powerhouse. Listen to Sunburst and tell me the man isn't a genius. | 2 | Kaki King
The girl can play the acoustic guitar, and she is a wonderful composer. Terribly overlooked. | 3 | Alexis Pareja and Jamie Mcllroy (The Number 12 Looks Like You)
For some reason these guys just don't seem to be given enough credit for their work...it doesn't really make sense to me. | 4 | Bella Fleck
I've never seen one man make the banjo as enjoyable as mister Fleck does...except for maybe this next person | 5 | Steve Martin
Oh yes, the man plays the banjo, the man plays the banjo very well. | 6 | Mic Todd (Coheed)
Some people do recognize him as a great bass player, but most of the focus is (understandably) stolen by Claudio and Travis. His bass lines are just so dang groovy, and anybody who doubts his real skill, look up a bass solo from one of the more recent Willing Well improvs. | 7 | Dan Briggs (BTBAM)
Again, he is respected and recognized, but not a lot of people really know how ridiculously talented the guy is. Just listen to Viridian, which is basically a bass solo. | 8 | Rickie Mazzotta (mewithoutYou)
Sure the guy isn't an amazing drummer, but every single beat that comes from the guy just fits so perfectly. | 9 | Matt Embree (in TSOAF not RX Bandits)
The guitar work on TSOAF's albums is just really great, and I don't think enough people know about them. Sure most of this site knows about it, but outside of here most people are ignorant. | 10 | Kyle Gass (Tenacious-D)
All the jokes aside, he really is a pretty great guitar player. Not awesome, but I feel like he is greatly under appreciated due to the fact he is in a joke band. | |
