| Best of 2016 According to me. |
| 10 | | Gone Is Gone Gone Is Gone
This "super group" really stands on it's own feet as an excellent band on it's own. troy from Mastodon is truly awesome. |
| 9 | | Domkraft The End of Electicity
So doom, all the riffs. |
| 8 | | Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard Y Proffwyd Dwyll
Such a strong break out album. lengthy songs that never get boring and the echoey female vocals are a nice change from the usual growl of the heavier musics. |
| 7 | | Red Fang Only Ghosts
This should be further up the list but I have not had the time to fully immerse myself in this album yet. |
| 6 | | Truckfighters V
A more dynamic and mature offering from these guys too this year. Sounds great! |
| 5 | | Big Business Command Your Weather
Love these guys. So weird, so fun, So bass-ey. |
| 4 | | Bloodnut Blues From The Red Sons
Yes this is technically my bands album but how often do you get to include your own album on your top list?...at least I didn't make it number 1. This album means a lot to me. Bloodnut is my 4 year old baby and finally the baby actually produced something that is out there in the world now. |
| 3 | | Beastwars The Death of All Things
The final(?) offering from Beastwars was a mature, glorious album that was not afraid to go quiet and take it down a notch from time to time. |
| 2 | | Monolord Lord of Suffering/Die in Haze
Such good doomy tunes to ingest them mushies to. Stoner doom at it's finest and a hell of a live act that I got to witness this year too. |
| 1 | | Neurosis Fires Within Fires
I'm late to the party on these guys but this album is a G. D masterpiece! |
