11.19.16 | Good call on 5. I remember when I first heard it when it came out and didn't know anything about music production or whatever, I could already tell there was something up with the sound.
Nowadays, I like it a lot. The clipping/distortion makes the songs sound awesome. |
Cygnatti
11.19.16 | tbh the production on all of these are all pretty terrible |
rodrigo90
11.19.16 | That's why the Loudness war thing.... |

11.19.16 | I always knew there was something wrong with playing the angel, especially in the song "precious" but I couldn't figured it out, until I knew that was suffering from bad mixing...the loudness killed the bass in most of the songs... |
WhiteNoise
11.19.16 | No Oasis Morning glory? It's the main offender... |
TVC15
11.19.16 | My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade
Green Day - American Idiot
MGMT - Congratulations (although I think the music still manages to sound fantastic with all the clipping and brickwalling)
Muse - BH&R
Literally every Death Grips album |
Sinternet
11.19.16 | really don't see whats wrong with 10s production |
sempiturtle
11.19.16 | Black Holes and Revelations. Damn, if an album was ever ruined by the loudness war it's that. I mean I still have it 5'd but holy shit I get disappointed just thinking about it. |
Jasdevi087
11.19.16 | I'm pretty sure Porcupine Tree - Deadwing has clipping all over it. Which is funny cause Steven Wilson would have you believe it's "not mastered as loudly as some of the other albums in your collection" |
kascetcadettt
11.19.16 | what's wrong with loud albums i still don't get it
i mean maybe raw power is untolerable but idk it's nice when you don't have to pump up the volumes to hear what the fuck they recorded in their basement on a dictaphone |
Rik VII
11.19.16 | loud production compresses the instruments and results in a headache-inducing overall sound. there's a lot wrong with loud albums, a whole lot, at least as soon as you exceed some limit. |
voltairesangryglove
11.19.16 | checking to see if i'm b& |
Artuma
11.19.16 | in some cases the loud production works well (7 for example) |
rodrigo90
11.19.16 | There, I changed the the chemical brothers one, I have to be honest, I haven't listened that album in it is entirety, it is just I run out of albums that I actually listened that suffered from loudness war, didn't know the muse one though. |
Deathconscious
11.19.16 | remasterization |
EyesWideShut
