| The End the Madness! Tour
Took my kids to see the End the Madness! Tour tonight which featured Waterparks, Tonight Alive and State Champs opening for headliners Sleeping With Sirens. It was a packed, high-energy show. Unusually enough, all four bands seemed beloved by the crowd -- it wasn't one of those shows where the fans just tolerated the opening acts. Sleeping With Sirens was the clear favorite, though. | 4 | | Waterparks Cluster
These guys opened the show with 3 songs off of their new album, "Double Dare" and two off of their EP "Cluster" from earlier in the year. The new album has been getting hammered on Sputnik, and I haven't heard it yet, so I can't judge, although the songs they performed live seemed pretty good. I do like their EP, and it's currently got a 3.2 rating on here. They're kind of a pop punk band. | 3 | | Tonight Alive Limitless
This band is actually the reason I bought tickets to the show. They're definitely inspired by Paramore, my favorite band from the early 2000s decade. The new album is a little too pop and not enough rock for my taste, but I still like them. The highlights of their set were two of their new songs, "Drive" and "Waves". They were my son's favorite band of the night, but my daughter thinks "Waves" is the kind of song you listen to and desperately repeat the chorus of again and again after a relaxing episode of shock treatment. | 2 | | State Champs Around the World and Back
I tried to get into these guys on YouTube a little before the show, but their music just kind of washed off of me. I did like them better in person, though. They were the least favorite band of night for all three of us, but I have to say that in general the crowd LOVED them. My daughter branded all 3 of the opening bands as "angsty teen bullshit". I tried to tell her that the music sounded pretty happy and upbeat to me, but kids -- they never listen. | 1 | | Sleeping With Sirens Madness
This was the band the people (including my kids) came to see, and they tore the room up. I wasn't that into them before, but even I liked a lot of their stuff tonight. For me, the best songs of the night were "Go Go Go" from their "Madness" album and an older power ballad called "Fire". Both of my kids were disappointed they didn't do their favorite SWS song, "Roger Rabbit", but my daughter at least was familiar with a lot of their other stuff, and enjoyed their set. | |

11.13.16 | Sounds like a great show! Don't listen the people before this comment, I'm sure they went to go see a "cringy" band when they were younger and loved the hell out of it. Music is subjective anyway, but I'm glad to see that you all had fun. | Divaman
11.13.16 | It was fun. My kids would never admit it, though. :) |
