Best of Fit For a King

My personal favorite 12 songs by metalcore band "Fit For A King" with their new output "DeathGrip" out now! Slight fanboy Ahahah.
12Fit for a King
Young and Undeserving

One of the most meaningful tracks by the band. Telling a story of a man who talks to God about his loss of a friend. The topic is relatable and the way it is conveyed is not only catchy, but emotional and is one of my favorite songs.
11Unchanging

My most recent dig from FFAK is their original closer from "Descendants" (prior to reissue). I do prefer the reissue however, as it is much cleaner in production. Every line of this song is meaningful and always gives me goosebumps.
10Hollow King (Sound of the End)

Arguably the band's most popular song, "Hollow King" incorporates every element of FFAK's career - heavy breakdowns, short but sweet choruses and wide range of vocals from Kirby.
9Dead Memory

One of the band's latest singles, "Dead Memory" is fast paced with a more angsty approach towards the subject of forgiving and forgetting.

Guests stars lead singer of "August Burns Red".
8Slave to Nothing

The title track to the band's Third album contains guest vocals of Matty Montgomery of "For Today", Whitst this band doesn't retain the best ratings, the guest vocals are certainly put to good use.
7God Rest ye Gentlemen

Fit for a king's Christmas song covers the classic hymn showcasing Tucks vocals once again, my one complaint about this track would be everything besides the singing (guitars, drums and Kirby's screaming) being rather quiet and difficult to focus on. Besides this, the melody here is beautiful and this may be the band's longest song.
6Keep me Alive

The reissue of the band's debut album, "Descendants" had come with a new track that is full on aggressive and a somewhat catchy chorus.
5Skin and bones

Before Tuck became the band's clean vocalist, Aaron had control over the band's sophomore album - this track specifically giving him free range over this particular ballad.
4Cold Room

Absolutely love Ryan Kirby's (unclean vocalist) talents voice here as it employs his very own clean voice in harmony with his screaming. The message also carries a hard but realistic message on current events.
3The Final Thoughts of a Dying Man

Very first song I heard from them. Tuck's (clean vocalist) singing is wonderfully showcased here and the tone is quite dark for an album closer.
2Destruction

FFAK's sophomore album, "Creation|Destruction" is my favorite album by them, and the title track showcases a full on breakdown throughout accompanied by stings near the end.
1Hooked

One of the heavier songs from their 2014 release, "Slave to Nothing".
