They needed injuries, Draymond getting himself suspended, and an epic choke by Barnes to barely win last year. Adding KD to the mix means the Cavs get slaughtered.

I'm a pretty massive GSW hater but I don't see them not taking home a ring barring injuries.

I still don't see their defense being worse in most scenarios as a result of Durant, but I do see their post defense taking a hit without Bogut.

BrandNewEyes 09.29.16	Westbrook didn't even approach 35 a game when KD went down earlier, so I can't imagine that he gets "at least 35" in today's league without shooting so poorly that it sets a new low for his career. Kanter isn't touching 20 if it becomes the Russ show. It may be career counting stats for Russ but his efficiency isn't gonna be pretty if he's up at 35 or more. Regardless, none of that replaces KD given that no one mentioned is a perimeter threat like he is, and Russ jacking up shots isn't exactly replacing a 50-40-90 guy. The West may or may not be all that strong past the top, but the point is that without KD the Thunder are no longer at the top. The Mavs will be better this season, the Rockets could improve, GSW will clearly be better, Utah should be a playoff team this year with an actual point guard, and the TWolves/Pelicans have reasonable expectations to see solid improvement this year. I really don't see how a less talented Thunder squad that only one 55 games last year manages to clear 50 unless Russ changes aspects of his game, which isn't an unreasonable prediction given that they haven't had a record that would indicate they can pull 50 wins when KD has been out.
