My Quest for Power

I've been searching for new power metal bands that are currently active and still somewhat in their prime. What bands should I be checking out?
1Blind Guardian
Beyond the Red Mirror

This is arguably my favorite BG album just took a real long time to grow on me. Hansi is lord and savior. Far and away my favorite power metal band and honestly probably my favorite band in general.
2Gloryhammer
Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards

Started out as a funny spoof band to me, but now I realized its more of a celebration band that just has fun. Can't deny their songwriting.
3Twilight Force
Tales of Ancient Prophecy

That voice is too smooth to deny. Actually everything is smooth. So excited for the new album. New love.
4Luca Turilli's Rhapsody
Ascending To Infinity

This guy is so hit or miss for me but the title track on this is what I'm all about.
5Kamelot
Haven

Kamelot is kind of in their 2nd phase of life with Tommy and I can get behind this album aside from some truly lame lyrics like the chorus in Therapy. Rather have dragon cheese than goth cheese.
6Galneryus
Angel of Salvation

Hard band to keep up with, but they seem way consistent. I plan on jamming these guys a lot to see if they stick or not.
7Pyramaze
Disciples of the Sun

Has a nice modern progressive metal edge to it that I can get behind. Not really sure why they kept the Pyramaze name after such a drastic lineup change, but I'm on board. They're writing the follow-up already.
8Tierramystica
Heirs of the Sun

Not super catchy right off the bat but my first impression was pretty good due to all of that flute and folk influence
9Dreamtale
World Changed Forever

Vocals are super Iron Maiden and its overall pretty nice.
10Cain's Offering
Stormcrow

Maybe a little too melodic in the wrong way for me in spots but this is something I plan on jamming further. Love the artwork and the choirs.
11Triosphere
The Heart of the Matter

Cool vocalist. Some of the songs can get a little too serious and cringe-y, but I remember this album grabbing me a couple months back, so I'm going to try and get back into it.
12Elvenking
The Pagan Manifesto

I've literally only heard the song Elvenlegions, but this band's name keeps popping up so I'm diving in further.
13Noble Beast
Noble Beast

This band keeps getting recommended to me since I like BG so much, but it's not on Apple music and I'm lazy, but I'll try and open up bandcamp at work today and jam some of it. EDIT: rules
