07.26.16 | I don't know much about sound quality but I'm 99% sure it's the ear pods |

07.26.16 | like come on dude you think stock earbuds are gonna cut it? they're literally $10 |

07.26.16 | Tidal or not, switch to better headware man. Even some $30 Senn's will make a WORLD of difference compared to Apple iBuds. |

07.26.16 | you can have $20k headphones but they're not gonna make a difference if you're listening on an ipod or old laptop |

07.26.16 | what's the headphone sound quality like on iphone 6S? curious because that's what I use to listen to most of my music |

07.26.16 | I don't know but based on how much better the iphone cameras have gotten I would speculate that it's half-way decent for a portable device. |

07.26.16 | Tried it. Not worth it over Spotify, app is a rip off of Spotify and is buggy as hell. Price is ridiculous. Sound quality is slightly bettter. Get some better headphones and go back to Spotify. |

07.26.16 | I mean unless you're a really, really picky audiophile with some expensive gear, 320kbps should more than cut it (and I mean WAY more). There's no way you're going to benefit from it on those earphones anyway, and even if you had all the best gear, most people can't distniguish between 320 and lossless. Hell, many can't even tell between 128kbps and lossless.

This aught to answer whether or not you can tell, although with cheap earbuds I doubt you'll have a shot. I highly recommend getting a decent set of cans (seriously, doesn't need to be expensive) to improve sound quality, not investing in some ridiculously high file size/kbps service. |

07.26.16 | "you can have $20k headphones but they're not gonna make a difference if you're listening on an ipod or old laptop"
I'm pretty sure you're exaggerating because that's bullshit, good headphones make a world of difference. If you're saying that after a certain point it won't justify the 20k (or whatever) price without everything else being upgraded then you're right, but otherwise that's incorrect. |

07.26.16 | I'm pretty convinced that unless you're like a true audiophile, 320 kbps is more than enough. You're almost certianly not going to be able to appreciate 1411 kbps, particularly if you don't have a particularly good set of headphones. Tidal HiFi is $16/month more than Spotify ($21 if you're a student or use a family plan or whatever), the extra $192 you'll spend in a year is more than enough to spend on a good pair of headphones. |
