| i got it
albums that would've been in that last list but im a smart girl
this is a dumber list | 1 | | Liturgy The Ark Work
yeah its a mess like, emphasis on mess for real, but also just a rlly great and sometimes visceral listen (see kel valhaal) also it suffers from taking itself too seriously but hey, its cool | 2 | | Andrew W.K. I Get Wet
the thing that people have with this album is hilarious, the division between people who believe it is the most vapid, commercialized, worst shit ever and then those who believe its like, a post ironic masterpiece.
really it is just commercialized hard rock, but that rlly doesnt work against it as an album. its a fun listen, nothing more | 3 | | Battles Mirrored
pretty much universally agreed as a really good album but it took me a long time to get into. it seems like it didnt take itself seriously, with the singers voice being so cartoonish, and i rlly heard nothing special about atlas at first when it had been hyped as such an amazing single. this just ends up being another fun listen | 4 | | Animal Collective Merriweather Post Pavilion
as overtly sugary, summery and sweet this album is, it sounded like a mess to me at first, nearly unlistenable. the mix sounded like a muffled mess, with every element of each song molding each other into a tasteless pastiche. it still sounds like a sort of pastiche to me, but now its one i can enjoy. its messiness now just sorta adds to its texture
basically rlly good anco but everyone knows that | 5 | | Wilco Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
easily amongst my favorite albums of all time, hated it a first though. i wasnt digging the mellow, americana sound at first. on my first listen the only standout was rlly the opening track, kamera was instantly disappointing after the towering epic that was i am trying to break your heart. over time though the album eventually grew to my taste and it has sort of molded and influenced what i want in music now. it rlly helped me appreciate subtlety in music. | |

07.25.16 | Andrew WK was a manufactured experiment and series of actors created by a group operating under the name Mike Steev to experiment in mass audience manipulation through pushing messages and ideals through the words of a mass marketed "rock god" such as Andrew. | BandNewbac
