Carly Rae Jepsen - E MO TION Ranked

And I have officially left my teen years. Too bad I stayed up til 4:30am playing Pokemon Go the other night. I decided to rank the album that has been the most consistently in my head since I heard it. I'm missing two bonus songs but that's fine right?

E MO TION

Boy Problems
Chorus is a tad silly but it's still fine and fun.

Gimme Love
A good track and I like how it changes it up but something about from here to and including Boy Problems feels awkward on the album.

All That
Same complaint about Gimme Love. On it's own, I really like it but I think it's in a weird spot. Still this was so obvliously meant for a love scene in a movie and that's some form of entertaining.

I Really Like You
I really really really really wish this wasn't the first single but it's still good. Second half of the chorus is great.

Your Type
A safe track. Nothing groundbreaking but it's super solid.

I Didn't Just Come Here To Dance
A lot of people would probably put this higher. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it's nothing that special.

When I Needed You
A very feelgood jam.

Favorite Color
This track is just really cute and I was totally cool with it being the closer until I heard the other songs.

LA Hallucinations
The bridge is something lol, but the chorus is awesome.

Black Heart
Short and sweet. It never really explodes but it develops rather nicely. Plus its just extremely catchy.

Let's Get Lost
Insanely fun. Every track from here on is top notch

Warm Blood
One of the most different tracks on the album. A very smooth sound that I haven't heard anything like.

Making The Most of The Night
IMA HIJACK YOU, HIJACK YOU I LOVE YOU IM MAKING THE MOST OF THE NIGHT
A slightly darker tone on this track with a chorus that slays. Outstanding bridge too.

Never Get To Hold You
The best of the slower tracks in my opinion. Really nice chill vibes I get from this. It's cool when a pop musician can do something like this.

Emotion
This song made me understand what the buzz was about for this album and for that, I am forever thankful for this song,

Love Again
The proper album closer. Definitely the best chorus on the album.

Run Away With Me
Damn close-minded me thinking this was utter shit the first time I heard it. This is a modern pop anthem that I hope gets the radio time it deserves in the future. That last chorus is just so perfect.
