| Hopes+picks For Reading 2008!
My hopes/predictions for Reading Festival 2008. | | 1 | | Metallica My Personal Hope:
Creeping Death. Their best song IMHO, I would love to see this one live. Not sure if they still play it, but if they do it could be huge. | | 2 | | Metallica The Predicted Huge One
Nothing Else Matters. This will be fantastic with everyone knowing most of the words. Not exactly the most metal thing to do, inviting an acoustic sing along, but hell why not. | | 3 | | Rage Against The Machine My Personal Hope:
I doubt this is in their set-list, but I would really love for it to be played. Probably their most under-rated song hidden on their least-appreciated album - I love it. | | 4 | | Rage Agasint The Machine The Predicted Huge One
Killing In The Name Of. The one everyone knows thanks to RockBand or MTV or GTA or wherever it's been played. This should be fun. | | 5 | | Tenacious D My Personal Hope:
City Hall. That would be incredible. With all the parts. Would be amazing to see live. Doubt it will be done. But oh well. And another personal hope is Dave becoming the devil! Ha. That would be ace. | | 6 | | Tenacious D The Predicted Huge One
Tribute. Of course, their biggest hit and hopefully a devil on the drums? We can only hope. | | 7 | | Queens Of The Stone Age My Personal Hope:
Auto Pilot. With so many songs in their backlog it was hard to pick one, but seeing this live would be great. The guitar parts are ace and being under the influence and dancing to this could lead to lead to something fun... Hm. | | 8 | | Queens Of The Stone Age The Predicted Huge One
No One Knows. Again their biggest hit. Great song as well. Will be great to see live. Even tho the drummer and bassist who wrote it are gone, hope they still play it well. I suppose they will. | | 9 | | Thrice My Personal Hope.
So many to choose from, and I have really no idea what Thrice play. They have so many songs to pick from. I hope they play The Earth Will Shake. That song would be amazing live. | | 10 | | Thrice The Predicted Huge One
The Artist in the Ambulance. I believe thats their most popular song? Either way it would be great live. | | 11 | | Bullet For My Valentine My Personal Hope:
My favorite Bullet song is a cover of Creeping Death. So i guess that? Or failing that it would be cool to see Take It Out On Me live. | | 12 | | Bullet For My Valentine The Predicted Huge One
Hearts Burst Into Fire was a pretty big hit in England and it's a good song so hopefully that will be the highlight of the set. This or 4 Words. | | 13 | | Biffy Clyro My Personal Hope:
Justboy from the first album. Such a great song and I hope it still gets played by the band. | | 14 | | Biffy Clyro The Predicted Huge One
57. From their first album again but it's still a massive fan favorite. Failing that, Living Is A Problem is their biggest song so that. Should be a good set. | | 15 | | Slipknot My Personal Hope:
They Don't Suck. | |

08.09.08 | why would slipknot suck even if you don't like their albums they've got shit loads of energy live and it will be crazy.

08.09.08 | *going to be awesome | Poet
08.09.08 | I'll be going to Metallica when they come to St. Louis, and I would play all that money just to see MoP and Creeping Death played.
You have good taste for 11 =). Take It Out On Me is easily Bullet's best song and seeing it live would be cool. | Masochist
08.09.08 | I like this list, because I've never seen it before.
If I saw Metallica, I'd want to see them play "Whiplash." "City Hall" would be amazing for Tenacious D, and I'd love to see Thrice play "Flags of Dawn" live (they've played it a few times before).
LOL at #15, even though I like Slipknot. | ASberg
08.09.08 | Creeping Death is pretty much standard i think. Atleast since they got thing for the old material. When i saw them they only played two songs post black album. I personally believe BFMV would be weaker live than slipknot even though i like BFMV better. | brandtweathers
08.09.08 | actually thought it said horse instead of hopes. sad. | Chewie
08.10.08 | great list, but what is the RATM song you're thinking of, you never said.
Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, Tenacious D, Queens Of The Stone Age, Thrice, sounds like an awesome festival. | HispanicImpressions
08.10.08 | ^ Cheers man. And my bad looks like I forgot to type it. It was "Year of the boomerang". Great song.
And the slipknot thing was a joke, i think they could be great. But they could also suck. Depends on a lot of stuff really. | Chewie
08.10.08 | Year Of The Boomerang slays, I'd also be excited to hear Fistful Of Steel.
But Slipknot would at least be entertaining, I heard that whenever members aren't playing, they fight with eachother. |
