06.27.16 | the thrill of living by mimisiku just came out this year. it's not really screamo, more on the jimmy eat world/world is a beautiful place side of emo, but it's awesome and it has too few ratings and i'm gonna keep stubbornly recommending it to people until it catches on.
other stuff that's more on the screamo side:
envy - all the footprints you've ever left
the saddest landscape - you will not survive
capsule - blue
loma prieta - last city, life/less, i.v.
ampere - all our tomorrows end today
sailboats - demo
maths - descent
daitro - laissez vivre les squelettes
in first person - lost between hands held tight
the blue letter - love is not control
pianos become the teeth - old pride
quiet steps - think aloud
there's plenty of other awesome stuff out there, but i've probably already overwhelmed you |
hesperus
06.27.16 | also, you need to either listen to the other off minor albums or rate them. they're easily just as good as heat death |
Masochist
06.27.16 | These are the ones that I think, inevitably, you will end up listening to sooner or later:
Circle Takes the Square - 'As The Roots Undo'
City of Caterpiller - 'City of Caterpillar'
Gospel - 'The Moon Is Dead World'
Orchid - 'Chaos Is Me'
Pg. 99 - 'Document 8'
United Nations - 'United Nations' |
Masochist
06.27.16 | And just because I always recommend this to people looking for emo music even though it's not strictly "emo"...
Slint - 'Spiderland' |
YakNips
06.27.16 | the brave little abacus - just got back from the discomfort
crash of rhinos - distal
cap'n jazz - analphabetapolothology
|
tofue
06.27.16 | Thanks everyone! I've only heard of a few of these bands, but I'll be sure to dive deeper into them. Also thanks hesp, I haven't heard of almost any of those, it'll be a fun week to check out all these albums. |
Artuma
06.27.16 | cap'n jazz and daniel striped tiger might suit you |
Archelirion
06.27.16 | You should check Vi Som Älskade Varandra Så Mycket if you haven't already. Also, check Our Lady (really good emo/screamo with slight southern twang) and Shirokuma.
And Barrow. Can't go wrong with either of Barrow's full lengths. |
