05.18.16 | cool list but I wouldn't have included kendrick and if I put opeth I would have used their first 4 |
JasonCarne
05.18.16 | I figured some people may disagree with Kendrick being included in this company, but I feel like he's more than deserving. I could've gone either way with Opeth - I love Orchid, not so much Morningrise, but Deliverance is one of my favorites (unpopular opinion there). |

05.18.16 | I really liked Deliverance too, but think BWP is one of their weakest. Paysage, the national, and horn all qualify imo |

05.18.16 | Like I said, I'm sure there are plenty more groups where there have been 4 great records in a row in their discography. Some of these suggestions definitely could've been on here easily as well, especially The Smiths and Death. |
DoofusWainwright
05.18.16 | Led Zeppelin? Arguably six in a row |
BlackLlama
05.18.16 | I think Megadeth gets a ticket along with Metallica. Their first 4 albums are consistently excellent. |
tacos n stuff
05.18.16 | Oceansize had a great 4 album run, list is also seriously missing Pink Floyd's DSOTM - The Wall though. Those 4 in a row are just nuts |
JasonCarne
05.18.16 | Oceansize is a good one yeah, Coroner is another one I forgot about. |

05.31.16 | Great idea for a list!! some that would be up there for me:
monstrosity - first 4 albums
Death!
Creedence clearwater revival: Bayou Country - Cosmos
jefferson Airplane: Surrealistic - Volunteers
Monster Magnet: Superjudge - God
Therapy?: nurse - semi-detached |

05.31.16 | You messed up big time with that Opeth stretch. |

05.31.16 | A Trick of the Tail over Nursery Cryme is wrong obviously |
Artuma
05.31.16 | kind of confusing that for some of these you're including ep's and for some you're not |

05.31.16 | 4 in a row for PF doesn't work, cuz The Wall |
Artuma
05.31.16 | "4 in a row for PF doesn't work, cuz The Wall"
it absolutely does work, and obscured by clouds is excellent too anyway |

05.31.16 | disagreed on all of these except Waits, and i've heard the majority of them |
Avagantamos
05.31.16 | neurosis - through silver in blood - the eye of every storm
aphex twin - saw II - drukqs
isis - celestial - in the absence of truth
immolation - dawn of possession - close to a world below

windir - discog
gorguts - the erosion of sanity - colored sands
rush - a farewell to kings - moving pictures
tim hecker - haunt me - harmony in ultraviolet |

05.31.16 | I'll probably get some pushback for a couple of these, but fuck it:
Intronaut (Prehistoricisms - Direction)
Loma Prieta (Last City - I.V.)
The Mars Volta (De-Loused - Bedlam)
Nadja (Thaumogenesis - Bungled)
Sigur Ros (Agaetis - Med Sud) |

He's a 100% right with that one actually. |

05.31.16 | the problem with the opeth on this list isn't bwp
it's that deliverance is their weakest album prob |

05.31.16 | don't agree with the deliverance hate |
parksungjoon
05.31.16 | it's not hate it's just that the album ain't on the same level as their top stuff
it's certainly not better than morningrise in any case, which would have fit this list's 4 streak requirement |

05.31.16 | yea if u have gay taste in prog
Peter Gabriel > Phil Collins
Nursery Cryme might be better than The Lamb Lies Down aswell, need to revisit that one i remember being bloated
|
JamieTwort
05.31.16 | A Trick of the Tail is barely prog.
"Peter Gabriel > Phil Collins"
Agreed but that doesn't mean every Gabriel-era album is better than the best Collins-era album. Nursery Cryme has two classics as its bookends, everything between is bottom tier prog-era Genesis, except maybe Hogweed which is just an OK prog jam. |
smaugman
05.31.16 | nursery cryme is 4,3/5 |

05.31.16 | First 4 Burzum are the finest streak of albums I can think of. Each of them is unique and it feels like they all build up to an inevitable conclusion. And with that I don't mean Daudi Baldrs.
And no one mentioned Black Sabbath and Camel yet. |
Alastor
05.31.16 | also I guess no one can beat Maiden's streak of 7 classic albums. |
