Carolina Rebellion 2016 Performances
Great three days of music, anyone else attend? |
1 | | Aranda Aranda
Decent enough band, the guitarist ended up using a boot to play. Not a group I was overly impressed with though. |
2 | | From Ashes To New From Ashes to New
Very disappointed, had a mixed group of songs. |
3 | | Sick Puppies Tri-Polar
New vocalist/guitarist, was impressed with how he handled their material. I've seen these guys do better though. Riptide and War are always great anthems though. |
4 | | Black Stone Cherry Kentucky
Fun group to just sit back and enjoy, nothing too flashy just entertaining southern rock. |
5 | | Pop Evil War of Angels
Actually wasn't too impressed with them this time. My third time seeing them, but the vocalist couldn't hit some of the notes that used to be second nature to him. |
6 | | Between the Buried and Me Coma Ecliptic
Far and away the greatest act of the day. Thoroughly impressed with how perfect they sounded and were able to recreate their sound in a live environment. That vocalist is a true talent and these guys can play. |
7 | | 3 Doors Down 3 Doors Down
A bit of a childhood throwback, these guys put on a solid show. Some great fun tunes with this band. On a side note, the vocalist finishes each sentence he says with "My friends" lol. |
8 | | Escape the Fate Escape the Fate
Great guitarist in a fairly shitty band. Wasn't too impressed with their show. |
9 | | Collective Soul 7even Year Itch
Loved a batch of these guys material, and they put on a solid show to back it up. |
10 | | Lynyrd Skynyrd Street Survivors
The epitome of southern rock, these guys still got it. Aside from declaring that "The south will rise again", I was impressed and had a good time listening to a group of songs that I love. |
11 | | Andrew Watt Ghost In My Head
Some decent blues rock with a medley of classic tunes as well. |
12 | | Texas Hippie Coalition Ride On
These guys are hilarious, nothing too flashy but their vocalist is a great frontman. |
13 | | Trivium Trivium
Very impressed with how good these guys can play. Delivered a strong set that got the crowd very involved. |
14 | | Saint Asonia Saint Asonia
Ex-vocalist of Three Days Grace, these guys were fine. Nothing too special though. |
15 | | The Sword High Country
Had a cool show and even began to jam a little onstage. They played a good collection of their material too. |
16 | | Parkway Drive Atlas
Hadn't heard anything from this band, and I was amazed at how well they performed. Great energy and hype and they had a fantastic live show. |
17 | | Sevendust Best Of (Chapter One 1997-2004)
Nothing too great about them, but they delivered a good batch of material. |
18 | | Anthrax For All Kings
Seeing them a second time wasn't as entertaining as the first, but they can still rock to this day. Was hoping for older material though. |
19 | | Ghost (SWE) Meliora
Was finally able to see one of my favorite groups in concert, and it was an experience. They radiate excitement and energy, and Papa is an amazing front man. |
20 | | Lamb of God Sacrament
Perhaps one of the most intense shows I've been to, the crowd really gets into LoG. Thankfully they opened with Walk With Me in Hell, which set the tone for the level of energy they were bringing. Very impressed. |
21 | | Megadeth Dystopia
Loved their set, but Dave can't sing nearly as well anymore. Thankfully the playing made up for that. These guys can still shred like crazy. Played a lot of the classics, too. |
22 | | Shinedown The Sound of Madness
Another throwback, but I was very entertained and found myself singing along to songs I hadn't heard in years. |
23 | | Hands Like Houses Reimagine
Didn't know much about this band, but they played a well-balanced set. |
24 | | Royal Thunder Crooked Doors
This chick can really sing, and they played a fun set. |
25 | | August Burns Red August Burns Red
Got the crowd very energized. Very solid band. |
26 | | Asking Alexandria Stand Up and Scream
Meh. |
27 | | BABYMETAL BABYMETAL
Just not into the vocals, but very talented musicians. |
28 | | Yelawolf Black Fall
Decent enough artist, good crowd motivator. |
29 | | Cypress Hill Cypress Hill III: Temples of Boom
Solid work. |
30 | | Deftones Gore
Not a big fan, but they had a great show that made me want to check out more of their material. |
31 | | Alice Cooper Killer
What do you expect? Kick ass show with great theatrics. Two people dressed as Clinton and Trump fighting and making up was the icing on the cake. |
32 | | Disturbed Immortalized
Great closer, although not a huge fan of their material, they packed the grounds. Got the crowd very involved and played some of their classics. Overall a very fun weekend. Can't wait to return! |
