10 Bands That Used To Be Good, But Suck Now

Remember when these bands used to be good? Pepperidge Farms remembers. Here are 10 bands that used to be great, but then either fell into obscurity, or just make plain out horrible music now.
1Maroon 5
Songs About Jane

Ok, pretend like Maroon 5 isn't this cheesy band that makes poppy love songs with annoying high-pitched vocals. Hard to do right? Well back at around 02'-03', this band was the bee's knee's. They released their debut album "Songs About Jane" which was successful critically and commercially. But then, something happened. Maybe after a long hiatus they decided: "Hey! let's make unbearable pop music with cringe worthy lyrics!". What happened to writing songs like "harder to Breath"? Oh well, those days are long gone now.
2Green Day
Dookie

Do you have the time,
to listen to me whine?
about how Green Day used to be so good?

No but in all seriousness, Green Day fell off the map, hard. Though their last release wasn't so bad, they have yet to make an album as powerful and influential as Dookie.
3The Offspring
Americana

These guys have been around for a while. Their biggest success was their 1998 release Americana. After that, they just sort of faded away slowly. They still release new material every now and then. But let's be honest here, do we really want to listen? it's okay, I'll answer that for you.. "no".
4Alice in Chains
Dirt

Layne Staley died in 2002, and if you ask me so should have the band. The new lead singer can't hold a candle to Staley's emotional and vocal delivery. But that's a pretty hard act to follow, so you can't really blame him.
5Weezer
Pinkerton

How do you go from "Across the Sea" to "Beverly Hills"? Just.. how? Something must of snapped in River's brain after the release of Pinkerton. Perhaps he didn't feel comfortable writing personal songs that reflected his struggles anymore. But whatever is the case, they need to find their footing again. Granted, their newer releases sound promising, but they have a lot of catching up to do for them to reach solid ground again.
6The Used
The Used

The Used first record was a masterpiece. But ever since then, they haven't been able to top it. Sure they had a few good releases here and there like the album "Vulnerable" but none even came close to the quality of their self-titled album. Such a shame.
7Fall Out Boy
From Under the Cork Tree

Wait a minute.. these guys were never good! Moving on..
8Slipknot
Iowa

I remember when I used to be scared to listen to slipknot. Like the good kind of scared. You know how when you're about to go on a ride in the amusement park and you start getting goosebumps? Yeah that feeling.. But somewhere along the line these guys got soft. They are nowhere near as hardcore as they used to be. Oh have the times have changed.
9Incubus
S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

These guys were good. And they're still good. Well, sort of.. Their latest album "If not now, when?" was decent. But not as risky and experimental as S.C.I.E.N.C.E. While I do appreciate the bands willingness to change up their style, but we all miss the old Incubus do we not?
10The Rolling Stones
Sticky Fingers

These guys haven't released anything good since the 70's. While other bands like Rush and RHCP have been around for decades, they still manage to stay relevant. I don't even know why they are still around, just retire already.
