02.18.16 | Dudes help!
I'm trying to recall a classic 70s English duo folk album. The cover was the artists stood near a rope swing thing by a river.
Band name was something like silkworm or earwig?? Something along those lines that you wouldn't associate with folk???? Anybody know??? |

02.20.16 | Surprised no one's listed Bob Dylan yet. If you're looking for some of the stuff that inspired half of these other guys, other than a few curveballs into rock, blues & roots, he's your guy. |
LepreCon
02.20.16 | All of Dylan up until 'Nashville Skyline' (even though it's more country it's still awesome) then skip the next few because they're shite then his best album 'Blood on the Tracks', 'The Basement Tapes' w/ The Band and 'Desire' and that's all the Bob Dylan anyone could possibly need. Then check out Joni Mitchell's first four (up until 'Blue'), Buffalo Springfield's debut then first two Crosby Stills & Nash (second one is Crosby, Stills Nash & Young's 'Deja Vu'), first four albums by The Band, first four Leonard Cohen, first six Neil Young albums, Tracy Chapman's debut and all Simon & Garfunkel. Pretty standard recs but that's because they're among the best anyway. |
