BallsToTheWall 07.26.08	More My Bloody Valentine, Primordial, Thin Lizzy, Darkest Era, Van Morrison, Mourning Beloveth, but most of all, The Cranberries man. 3 and 7 are pretty cool however.

malhiver 07.26.08	Rodrigo y Gabriella were discovered IN IRELAND, signed their first record contract IN IRELAND, gained their reputation as a brilliant live act IN IRELAND and per capita, have more record sales and airplay IN IRELAND than anywhere else in the world. They were not born in Ireland, but they most definitly are an irish band.

malhiver 07.26.08	jimi hendrix was a worldwide phenomenon while ryg are a relatively unknown band in most of the world, except for people who have a huge interest in music. While in ireland, anyone with a cursory knowledge of music knows them. And I gave more than the 'being signed in ireland' reason for them being an irish band.

malhiver 07.26.08	I always felt that the cranberries were a bit over rated. I live about a 5 min walk from their guitarist, which is pretty cool I suppose
Zoo 07.26.08	Whether or not other artists do it and Rodrigo y Gabriela's popularity (worldwide or domestic) are irrelevant. They're not Irish. They're Mexican. It is neither fair to them nor is it fair to their Mexican fairs. And to be honest, they technically began their music careers in Mexico with Tierra Acida.

malhiver 07.26.08	Way to use wikipedia zooyorker. And for the record, I am not trying to make out that they are irish, just that they are an irish band. I realize that they are mexican, but also that no one in mexico has ever heard of them.
Zoo 07.26.08	Good Christ. They're not an Irish band. They never were and never will be. No matter where they were first signed, first became popular, etcetera. They don't play any type of traditional Irish folk music nor are they Irish themselves. And way to use wikipedia, malhiver. I used Metal Archives. ;)
