My favourite thrash albums
Some thrash albums I enjoy. |
1 | | Slayer Reign in Blood
A predictable entry perhaps but it's just that damn good. Thirty minutes of fast and aggressive thrash, all killer no filler. |
2 | | Kreator Pleasure to Kill
Extremely fast and aggressive thrash that borders on death metal at times. Absolutely essential. |
3 | | Sodom Agent Orange
Another album from Germany that almost borders on death metal at times. A bit less aggressive than Pleasure to Kill but just as good. |
4 | | Sadus Illusions
Yet another fast and aggressive thrash album that clocks in at just under thirty minutes. Great if you wanna spend half an hour rocking out to some of the sweetest thrash songs ever written. |
5 | | Megadeth Rust in Peace
A bit more melodic and less agressive than some of the other albums on this list. Some really impressive and technical guitar work on this album. Only drawback is Dave Mustaines singing voice. |
6 | | Metallica Ride the Lightning
My favourite Metallica album. Lot's of variety on it with some aggressive songs and some melodic ones. |
7 | | The Haunted The Haunted
While I prefer both Versus and the Dead Eye I wouldn't exactly call them thrash metal. This is probably my favourite of Haunted's thrash albums, mainly because I prefer Dolving as a singer over Aro. |
8 | | Sepultura Arise
Great aggressive thrash with a bit of a melodic touch to it. |
9 | | Morbid Saint Spectrum of Death
Vicious and extreme death thrash. Criminally underrated album. |
10 | | Toxic Holocaust An Overdose of Death...
Punky and aggressive thrash. Short and sweet. |
