11.14.15 | Fair enough. I used to dig both bands a lot back when I started getting into more music. However, I feel like Green Day aged with me better than MCR did (partially because my music taste eventually took in a direction that Green Day was on that MCR wasn't). I do enjoy MCR's work, but I feel that American Idiot works better as an album, containing epic tracks that tie into one another, with very compact musicianship, vocals, and lyrics. While it's far from being the greatest thing out there, I do think it does deserve some sort of mention. Three Cheers doesn't work well with me for some reason, probably because they've made much better overtime, and there aren't many standout tracks for me on it.
Since you like MCR, what's you favorite song of theirs? I recently revisited conventional weapons, and remembered how much i love the light behind your eyes, so i'd say that's probably mine. | BeeRyan
11.14.15 | i always found green day so bland and largely unlistenable. i though their longer 'epic' tracks were not well made at all. but anyway, i'm pretty basic but Helena always hits me hard, and the last three tracks on this record are particularly spectacular, imo. but then also Famous Last Words. | YoYoMancuso
