10.16.15 | The only bluegrass influence I can hear is on the intro track, but it's great (no banjos; just violin and slide guitar). There are violins and cellos throughout the album, but they're usually used to add layers. When they do stand out, they're incredible (Sleep to the Sound of Waves Crashing).
Not being hyperbolic, this is hands down one of the best folk metal albums I've heard since 2010. Everything is top notch, and I can't believe how much talent is on display here. |
