Are those monitors JBL LSR305's? If so i've never seen them in white so thats dope. I've got JBL's 8's and a JBL Sub. running pro tools 11 with a Scarlett 18i20 but im gonna upgrade to a thunderbolt interface when i have money to make some computer modifications. I've got a few sterling small diaphragm condensers, blue bluebird mic, 3 SM57's, Blue Baby Bottle blue, livewire power conditioner (just got it improves the floor room on output sooooo much). i've got quite a few WAVES plugins. an assortment of guitars (Gretsch G5422, 1965 Martin Acoustic, Gretch New Yorker Mandolin, a an assortment of other stringed instruments) I've been using GTR 3.5 for am modeling but i've got a VOX 2x12 30 watt as well) |

09.24.15 | Dude, that's awesome. Sounds like you have a ton of gear and options. I don't know about power conditioners but I'll definitely check them out! Yeah they're the 305s. The white is def a cool color. I need some more high-quality mics, since I have the AKG C214 and a few decent-but-not-great ones. I don't play guitar much, which is a shame because I have a Stratocaster 60th ann. and a beautiful cedarwood Washburn acoustic. Drums are Ludwig, Evans, Zildjian, and Paiste (sounds like a prog rock supergroup). Amps are a Crate CFX50TT and a VOX VFS2 50W. |

09.24.15 | dope man. I have a set of the JBL 305's i used to use but i upgraded to the 308's in February. I still use the 305's for reference sometimes they're pretty great for the price and whatnot. As far as mics go Blue is awesome I def. reccomend the baby bottle if you record vocals and stringed instruments at all and they work pretty nice as a room and overhead mic for drums and most other instruments. Sounds like a dope drum set up. i used to have an old Ludwig 4 piece from the late 70's one of my uncles gave me but I ended up giving it back to him because I don't have the space. I just record drums at my friends house now and I end up subbing in most of it for superior in the end anyways haha. |

09.25.15 | I'm not sure getting the 8-inch speakers would be necessary considering my control room is like, 9x12 feet haha. I've never heard of Blue but, again, it's on my to-do list now. The AKG sounds awesome so far, though. What I need is a proper drum setup! Using L-R mics above the hi-hat and toms gives a decent demo sound but it's...yeah. Do you have any experience recording drums? |

09.25.15 | yea quite a bit of experiance with drums. i used three mics for the longest time but four is really the minimum if you want a good sound, two overheads , a snare, and a kick mic. I'm to the point where I use 5 , same as I just listed but with two on the snare, one under and one over. really the 8 inch monitors aren't so much due to room size its more just that you can hear so much more on 8 inch speakers than you can on 5's especially at low volume. |

09.25.15 | i've got a focusrite scarlett 18i20 (usb 2.0) its got 18ins and 20 outs. its kind of excessive because i would never need that much but it wasnt all that pricey compared to the versions they have with less inputs so i just figured might as well get the most i can so I'll never have to worry about it haha. they have a 6i6 that's in the same like so same specs just 6 ins and 6outs. that what i would reccomend |

09.26.15 | Just got a new interface (Scarlett 18|8) and drum mics (Digital Reference) so I think the first round of equipment is complete! I've been playing around with the setup and the drums sound great, or at least pretty good. Good call on the Scarlett interface, though mine's not quite as elaborate haha. |

09.26.15 | nice dude! yea the preamps on the scarlett are awesome. hopefully you didnt have any trouble setting it up sometimes they can be a little bit of a pain as far as drivers are concerned, i had some trouble with pro tools at least but overall its awesome. |
