My year 3's had a simular situation where this one teacher was so bad they filed a 2 page complaint plus a bunch of everyone's signatures that he should not be teaching only to be replied with by the teachering calling them ungreatful and irresponsible. Asdfp277 09.10.15	in chile engineering is also like 90% male-dominated too. the thing is tho, it's never been part of our culture and history to treat women like they're dimwits and suck at maths. since we have huge cultural identity crisis, we don't have any cultural history, and so nobody is going to take any cultural bias to heart. we grow up with girls, we learn all 12 years of education with girls, and to all sexists out there, guess what: they're fucking people, just like you and me. its a recurrent joke in our country to refer to girls as "boys", since they act like the stereotypical male at any age, because also guess what: they're poeple, just like you and me, again. they laugh at the same stuff, they have the same pasttimes -- sports, videogames, memes -- and if you take any group of friends over here, you'll notice that women are treated just like any man would: just jokes and talking about pastimes and our personal lives, and our bullshit teachers like this devil demon of shit teaching we call our mechanics teacher

Asdfp277 09.10.15	im on antidepressants and i swear to god, for the first weeks or so i didn't even notice anything different AT ALL, it was just me being me. after a while tho, i started pondering my recent weeks and i just noticed ive been talking more to my family, ive been a little more approachable, and i just noticed i havent considered suicide for weeks, it was just me but not fucked up ! same tastes, same opinions, same everything but life was more approachable, its not "medicating the shit out of everything" (then again, maybe things are different in my country than in other places, idk)

Not to mention the "stress" associated with going through various therapists/potential hospitalization and in certain countries also the financial cost involved.

Somewhat unrelated but a Food Tech teacher from my secondary school managed to fuck up by teaching the students the content for the wrong exam board. He was fired but I don't remember what happened to the students.

BeyondCosby 09.10.15	I had a similar experience my junior year of college. As an education major we had to take a philosophy course and so I took one on basic arguments. Turns out the professor was a goddamn goop whose answer to any argument brought to him by his students (and about half the class was students arguing with him and his infallible logic) was for them to read the book. Well as it turns out the only course material was from a book that he wrote which was bound at a Staples this those cheesy as plastic rings and complete with stick figure drawings. It was the biggest pile of horse shit I ever wasted money on in college but it sure was entertaining to watch him contradict himself and then begin to sweat.
