08.31.15 | Even though Converge is labeled as metalcore, You Fail Me isn't really metalcore at all. I agree though, they have some awesome lyrics. m/ |

08.31.15 | Was about ready to. Ridge at what bands I'd see here since the genre can be seen as relatively broad but all these records are great. |

08.31.15 | I see all of Converge's releases as metalcore. I see the math and noise influences, but I don't see it as full on mathcore like Dillinger or Psyopus. But im pretty sure everyone can agree Converge's lyrics are deep, profound, and heartfelt. I chose You Fail Me over Jane Doe because I personally think the lyrics are a lot deeper. It was a very close tie though, especially since Jane Doe has deep songs like The Broken Vow and Heaven In Her Arms. But ultimately my decision was You Fail Me for the songs Heartless, Black Cloud, and Last Light |

09.01.15 | Underoath gets pretty deep, at least with Spencer's lyrics. You can pretty much tell where Aaron's lyrics stop and Spencer's start. |

09.01.15 | @Joe I really like the lyrics in the bands I listed because a lot of them have to do with heartbreak and failure (guess I should listen to Failure?)
Other bands I would add to the list would be Hopesfall and This Day Forward, but Hopesfall was too Christian and wasn't nevessarily focused on heartbreak. I forgot why I didn't add This Day Forward. Still a good band. Best releases were Transient Effects... And Kairos |
