Either way, give these a try: Cross My Heart - Cross My Heart The Wind-up Bird - Whips (in no way emo, but one of the two guys was the vocalist of Jeromes Dream and the ambient sound is reminiscent of the ambient sounds found in Low Level Owl, so I think you should check it. Also, it's very sad =) )
