best albums of this decade 2010-2015
basically what the name implies, just not in any specific order. |
| 1 | | Disembarked Nothing's Wrong Here
Basically one of the best albums to come from Dog Knights. Besides from We Came Out Like Tigers and Beau Navire, this is a solid five. Good screamo with heavy sludge influence. |
| 2 | | We Came Out Like Tigers Ever-Crushed at Pecket's Well
Another Dog Knights band, less screamo and pushing more toward black metal. Wish these guys were still together. rip best blackened screamo band |
| 3 | | Black Sheep Wall I'm Going to Kill Myself
Amazing album, honestly GOAT. Great sludge band while taking influence from lots of other genres. Best lyrics I've heard. |
| 4 | | Cattle Decapitation The Anthropocene Extinction
Cattle Decapitation, probably the only good deathgrind band to exist. These guys make heavy music and just mindblowing shit in general. Hyped for the new album coming out next month. |
| 5 | | Lorde Pure Heroine
Probably one of the best "Top 40" artists besides Kanye West. One of the only artists that I've heard on the radio that has a dark-ish atmosphere to an album, or at least a select few songs. |
| 6 | | Sorority Noise Forgettable
One of the best emo albums I've heard in awhile. Definitely another good Dog Knights band. Forgettable could be AOTY 2k14. |
| 7 | | Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Amazing hip hop album. Beats anything he's made, and most likely ever will make. Dark atmosphere and brings the topic of a broken heart up a lot, which is good for people who aren't doing so well and hate music that isn't anything metal and screamo genres. |
| 8 | | Darkthrone The Underground Resistance
Amazing crust punk album. I don't think I have this at anything above a three but if I don't, definitely bumping this up to a 4.5. |
| 9 | | Bring Me the Horizon There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It
Great metalcore album. Probably has one of the most depressing songs to date. Too bad BMTH went to utter shite after this. :^) |
| 10 | | Disfiguring the Goddess Deprive
Honestly, this album gives me chills. Big Chocolate knows what he's doing. Great producer, vocalist, name it, he can probably pull it off like this masterpiece. This is how slam should be made, imo. |
