| Graveland Ranked
This is my first list and I figured a ranking of my favorite band would be a tolerable way to break the ice. I have noticed that the Graveland discography lacks reviews, despite the plethora of releases. Hopefully, this is rectified in the future.
I'm going to stick to full lengths only. | | 13 | | Graveland Spears of Heaven
The nadir of Graveland. After this he came back with Cold Winter Blades EP, which rejuvenated Graveland. | | 12 | | Graveland Carpathian Wolves
See The Celtic Winter | | 11 | | Graveland The Celtic Winter
I've never been a big fan of pre- Thousand Swords Graveland. Just sounded like a kid trying to shock the populous with half-hearted playing with little skill. The best thing about this is the intro. | | 10 | | Graveland Dawn of Iron Blades
Other than the intro, which is beautiful, this is just an assembly line release. Good songs that go in one ear, out the other. | | 9 | | Graveland The Fire of Awakening
Other than Memory and Destiny, this one has been the biggest grower. In a few years, its ranking will rise most likely. | | 8 | | Graveland Thunderbolts of the Gods
A fine album, nothing more. What really adds to this one is Darken bringing in more Lord Wind influence. Listen to Wolf of the North. | | 7 | | Graveland Thousand Swords
I understand this album is universally lauded, and I can totally respect that. But for me, Darken was just getting warmed up. | | 6 | | Graveland Creed of Iron
My first Graveland album. I'll always love it. This was the first album to really clean up the Bathory influences. | | 5 | | Graveland Will Stronger Than Death
Darken keeps the speed of FCoD, but adds the bombast of Memory and Destiny | | 4 | | Graveland Immortal Pride
Graveland fully embraces Hammerheart, albeit in a more rudimentary form. | | 3 | | Graveland Fire Chariot of Destruction
After a few disappointments, Darken returns with his most fierce album for almost a decade. | | 2 | | Graveland Memory and Destiny
Darken's finest of the post Immortal Pride era. | | 1 | | Graveland Following The Voice Of Blood
One of the finest examples of pure black metal. Darken had yet to embrace the Bathory-worship of the following album. Instead, he created his magnum opus. | |

07.01.15 | 7 is the only Graveland I've ever jammed. It's decent, but never made me wanna check out anything else tbh. | HellPriest
07.01.15 | as stated, he was just getting warmed up. try Memory and Destiny | carved
07.01.15 | wtf no in the glare of burning churches | HellPriest
07.01.15 | i stuck to full lengths only. ItGoBC is a demo, though Celtic Winter started out as a demo as well. It was later released as a full length
it would be at or near the bottom anyway. once again, the intro is cool. that's about it | Alastor
07.01.15 | cool. what about his latest opus? | HellPriest
07.01.15 | the latest one is a re-recorded version of Fire of Awakening in Polish. Thunderbolts of the Gods is the last original release. | Alastor
07.01.15 | Ah, I see. I check some of his stuff from time to time, but I never make it through a whole album. Bathory's Hammerheart is probably my favourite album ever, yet I don't get the same vibes from his stuff. | yuneek
07.02.15 | No clue how I would rank Graveland but I definitely think their bm stuff is great too. Nice to see some love for them on sput regardless. | Flugmorph
07.02.15 | review them. 10/10 would read | HellPriest
07.02.15 | i was surprised of the lack of reviews for graveland on sputnik | porcupinetheater
07.02.15 | Your (relative) disdain for Carpathian Wolves makes me a sad fella :[ | HellPriest
07.02.15 | i dont hate it. just cant compare with what he did later |
