8 or 9 years worth of my shit taste
So, my account is bugged and it shows this account was made in '69 or something. I think I've been using this site since '06 or '07. So I guess I'm going to make my first list that's longer than 10 and try for 75 haha. This website has helped me so much in finding my music taste and how to be elitist. Casualties of Cool sucks. Shit is my all time favorites in no particular order because that would be impossible. You'll notice that it randomly starts going by alphabetical order.. that's because I tried doing this from memory and said fuck it and went to my library. Probably nothing too surprising on here. |
1 | | Between the Buried and Me Colors
Between the Buried and Me was one of the first metal bands I really got into and Colors blew my 17 yo mind away. I'm not very good at articulating my thoughts so I'll just take an excerpt from my sound off I made when this album came out. "holy shit, this album is the tits, with cream. WITH CREAM." |
2 | | Manchester Orchestra Simple Math
I'll never forget the summer I went with my friend to his grandmas house with another friend in the back country of Tennessee on a river. Sitting up against the pontoon on sandbar as minnows nipped at my legs and back, high and listening to Virgin as a thunderstorm bloomed in the distance... which eventually came directly at us and we had to hide in a cove because we were a half an hour boat ride from the house. One of my favorite highs followed immediately by one of my least favorite. |
3 | | Laura Stevenson Wheel
Okay I'm gonna have to give up on the descriptions if I'm to finish this list. |

This fuckin album is the reason I look forward to summer. I just cannot enjoy this album from the start of fall to the start of spring. Windows down, on the back country roads with this blaring .. im getting a fuckin chub just thinking about it. |
54 | | Sigur Ros ( ) |
55 | | Sigur Ros Agaetis Byrjun |

57 | | Sublime 40 Oz. to Freedom
Another great summer album... fuck I haven't listened to this in a bit. |
58 | | Swans To Be Kind
I tried the Seer and just could not get into it. This album came at the exact perfect time in my life, moving to another city hours away made this album perfect for my drives to and from home. Probably AOTY for me last year. |
59 | | The Tallest Man on Earth The Wild Hunt |

68 | | Coheed and Cambria In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 |
69 | | Frightened Rabbit The Midnight Organ Fight |
70 | | Agalloch Ashes Against the Grain
This kind of the opposite of The Sheepdogs "Learn and Burn" .. but it's acceptable to listen to it on cold overcast days during the spring/summer. |
71 | | Porcupine Tree Stupid Dream |
72 | | Sun Kil Moon Benji |
73 | | Gospel The Moon Is a Dead World |
74 | | Hot Cross Cryonics |
75 | | The Seatbelts Cowboy Bebop
I was looking through my albums and I was thinking "If I can't decide the last one will be Maylene and the Sons of Disaster's 'III'" and then I remembered the Cowboy Bebop OST and I almost shat my pants for forgetting this one. This album got me into jazz. The show is cool too if you're into that sort of thing. Anyway, that was my top 75, cheers. |
