Favorite Hip Hop Groups/Duos

I should probably be studying for finals but this is more important
1Wu-Tang Clan

A very obvious number 1 but by far my favorite. 1993-1996 is one of my favorite hip hop periods almost solely based on their impressive amount of releases in this time. Favorite Album: Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
2Outkast

Also a very obvious choice for a very high spot, Outkast is easily my favorite hip hop duo ever. Aquemini is and always will be one my favorite albums of all time. Favorite album: Aquemini
3Death Grips

As of late, I've been listening to a lot of Death Grips. I went through a stretch of time where they were one of my least favorite band/artists out there, but since I started expanding my music taste more, they've become one of my favorites. Favorite Album: Niggas On the Moon
4A Tribe Called Quest

Death Grips in front of ATCQ? Yeah I know a little odd. Jazz rap is easily one of my favorite sub-genres/genres to ever come out of hip hop. The production is perfect and the lyrics even better. Favorite Album: The Low End Theory
5The Roots

As mentioned prior, jazz rap is one of my favorite genres. I love every aspect of The Roots, whether it be the instrumentals or the killer verses. Favorite Album: Illadelph Halflife
6Run DMC

One of the artists that really got me into music. I probably started listening since I was 8 or 9 honestly. One of the greatest and most influential groups to ever do it. Favorite Album: Run DMC
7Eric B and Rakim

How could you forget one of the greatest producer/rapper combos ever? Rakim is great solo, but with Eric B he's even better. Favorite Album: Paid In Full
8Public Enemy

Obviously PE has to be here somewhere. Along with Run DMC, I got into this group at a very young age, and have never stopped loving them. Favorite Album: It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us
9Run the Jewels

From the production to the sick ass verses, RTJ never fails to impress. The only thing keeping them from being higher on my list is the fact that they only have two albums. Really looking forward to RTJ3 later this year. Favorite Album: Run The Jewels 2
10UGK

It's amazing the difference in quality between Pimp C's (RIP) solo work and his work with Bun B. Favorite Album: Ridin' Dirty
