| | Favorite Albums of All Time | | 1 | | Eyedea & Abilities By the Throat
Intelligent, emotional, and unique - its everything you could want from an album. From Eyedea's genius lyricism to Abilities' instrumental ferocity, this album grabs you (by the throat lol) and doesn't let you go till the end. you've probably heard other bands attempt a rap/rock fusion before (RATM, Beastie Boys etc.) but trust me - you've never heard this. | | 2 | | At the Drive-In Relationship of Command
What can be said about this album that hasn't already been said? Its a classic and a must have. | | 3 | | Fear Before The Always Open Mouth
Another modern post hardcore classic. With this album FBTMOF takes the experimentation to an almost "Radiohead-esque" level. Also contains one of my favorite songs of all time, My (F***king) Deer Hunter. | | 4 | | Battles Gloss Drop
This album is just pure fun. The sharp math rock of the first album has evolved into an odd mixture of friendly pop melodies and prog rock tendencies. | | 5 | | Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral
Dark, edgy, and gripping, this album hits all the right notes for a perfectly consistent listen. Abrasive when it has to be and beautiful when it wants to be. | | 6 | | Pixies Doolittle
It was a toss up between this and Surfer Rosa, but ultimately, this is the Pixies record I always come back to. It is emotionally resonant and extremely visceral, just as the Pixies should be. | | 7 | | Radiohead OK Computer
Narrowly beating out in Rainbows, I decided to choose this album. I, like many, believe this to be Radiohead's magnum opus. The band crafted a beautiful record that touches on themes we are all familiar with (fear, paranoia etc) and combines them with a great blend of electronic and rock instrumentation. | | 8 | | Deftones Saturday Night Wrist
Most people would put White Pony, SNW has always been my favorite Deftones record | | 9 | | The Blood Brothers ...Burn, Piano Island, Burn
Insane. That's the one word i would use to describe it. The band's manic approach to post hardcore perfectly capitalized on the sound that Refused and At the Drive In had created. | | 10 | | Thrice Vheissu
A brilliant portrayal of how to experiment with your sound as a band. Thrice really out did themselves. | |

05.26.15 | sweet list. good call on 9. i wouldn't say that album is "underrated" or anything, but you're right, i think it is the logical progression (or one of the logical progressions anyway) from ATD-I, and should be recognized as such. | Rowan5215
