Ranking the Green Day albums

Metalheads can be punks too. Green Day is a great band, basically reviving interest in punk rock. To honor them and their R&R HoF induction, here's their albums ranked.
1Green Day
Nimrod

Dookie is the common choice for number one, but Nimrod pretty much exceeds it in every way. It has more experimentation, less filler, and just is easier to listen to and enjoy than their other albums.

Highlights: "Nice Guys Finish Last", "Hitchin' a Ride", "Scattered", "Worry Rock", "Platypus", "Uptight", "King for a Day", "Good Riddance"
Lowlights: ""All the Time". "Reject"
2Green Day
Dookie

I love this album a lot, but the only reason it's ranked number one usually is because it started the interest in punk again, not because it's better than a different album (Nimrod).

Highlights: "Burnout", "Having a Blast", "Longview", "Basket Case", "She", "Sassafras Roots", "When I Come Around"
Lowlights: None that stand out
3Green Day
Kerplunk

Their last indie album is seriously a hidden gem. Check this album out. Now.

Highlights: "One for the Razorbacks", "Private Ale", "One of My Lies", "80", "Android", "Words I Might Have Ate"
Lowlights: "Best Thing In Town", "Strangeland"
4Green Day
Warning

Severely underrated, it's almost criminal. It may be folk influenced, but it's more mature and is super nice to listen to.

Highlights: "Blood, Sex, and Booze", "Church On Sunday", "Fashion Victim", "Jackass", "Waiting", "Minority"
Lowlights: "Castaway", "Deadbeat Holiday"
5Green Day
Insomniac

The harder, grittier cousin of Dookie. Other than obvious filler, this is an amazing album.

Highlights: "Stuck with Me", "Geek Stink Breath", "Bab's Uvula Who?", "Brain Stew", "Westbound Sign"
Lowlights: "Brat", "No Pride", "86"
6Green Day
American Idiot

It's probably because I'm not too big a fan of alternative rock, but I think AI is overrated. Nonetheless still a good album.

Highlights: "Jesus of Suburbia", "Holiday", "St. Jimmy", "Letterbomb", "Homecoming"
Lowlights: "Are We the Waiting", "Extraordinary Girl"
7Green Day
21st Century Breakdown

Another overrated rock opera in my eyes. It has it's diamonds, though, like all albums.

Highlights: "Christian's Inferno", "East Jesus Nowhere", "Peacemaker", "Restless Heart Syndrome", "Horseshoes and Handgrenades"
Lowlights: "Know Your Enemy", "Viva la Gloria", "Last Night On Earth", "Last of the American Girls", See the Light"
8Green Day
1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours

Their debut album mixed with their EPs when they were Sweet Children. Nothing too memorable, but nothing bad.

Highlights: "Don't Leave Me", "Disappearing Boy", "Going to Pasalacqua"
Lowlights: Nothing that stands out
9Green Day
iTRE!

The best of the trilogy, which isn't too big of a compliment.

Highlights: "Brutal Love", "Dirty Rotten Bastards"
Lowlights: "Sex, Drugs & Violence", "The Forgotten"
10Green Day
iDOS!

A garage rock party record. Nothing more than that.

Highlights: "Lazy Bones", "Makeout Party", "Stray Heart"
Lowlights: "Stop When the Red Lights Flash", "Wild One", "Lady Cobra", "Nightlife"
11Green Day
¡UNO!

Eh.

Highlights: "Let Yourself Go", "Oh Love"
Lowlights: "Fell for You", "Troublemaker", "Angel Blue"
