Jams and Jellys

A lot of the things that I'm jamming this year. I lied about the jelly. Recs please
1Dance Gavin Dance
Instant Gratification

AOTY so far? It's a weird thought to think that, but so far, yeah. Very concise.
2Jeff Rosenstock
We Cool?

Knew this would be good, didn't know it would be as good as it is. It's a great time.
3Alesana
Confessions

I have a confession. I think this album is awesome. Only other thing I've heard by them in full is On Frail Wings. Plus a select few songs and that EP from last year. I see no point in trying to defend that they are actually a good band so yeah. Stone me or something.
4Bjork
Vulnicura

Okay, I haven't played this since it came out but I loved the hell out of Lionsong and I remember liking everything else. Spotify is how I do music now and it's not there so that's my excuse.
5Too Close To Touch
Nerve Endings

Solid debut with a good sound. I'll be seeing tem with I The Mighty and Hail The Sun. Until I Collapse and Hell To Pay are bangers and Pretty Little Thing is catchy as hell.
6Mew
+-

The stream on NPR just stopped working for me before "Rows" (I think it was?). Very upsetting because I was vibing to it. I hope this is the year I finally take the chance to listen to all of their material as opposed to just the handful that I've heard and loved.
7Hawk Eyes
Everything Is Fine

I heard most of the album and will come back soon hopefully. This was far more accesible than Ideas which I never got into as much as I wanted to (hopefully that will change).
8Neutral Milk Hotel
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

I'm finally as in love with this as everyone else is. Took me awhile, but god damn, it's phoenominal.
9The Hotelier
Home, Like NoPlace Is There

I saw them live with Title Fight and La Dispute and they were just so much better than Title Fight despite being their opening act. I had already listened to the album about 3 times beforehand and although I really liked it first listen, the next 2 made it feel more average. And currently, I'm loving it way more than before.
10Forever Losing Sleep
I Lost Myself Again

Saw these guys a little over a week ago and they killed it. Check them out if you like that post-rocky emo somewhat Pianos Become The Teeth type stuff.
11The Tallest Man on Earth
The Wild Hunt

I am listening to this currently and god, it's finally clicking. Couldn't stand the vocals every other time I tried, but now it's officially living up to the hype.
12Runaway Brother
Mother

Almost forgot this. Very solid stuff and it's nice to be enjoying emo like this again since I really didn't last year.
