Record Store Day 2015
Pickups from this weekend. |
1 | | Gorguts Obscura
Format: Vinyl
An absolute classic. One of the greatest metal records of all time, an absolute milestone in death metal, where we see a band push songwriting, technicality, and atmosphere to new heights. The vinyl is complete with a story behind the album told by legend Luc Lemay. I Am absolutely overjoyed that both Obscura and From Wisdom to hate have been repressed. Thank you Vinyl gods. |
2 | | Refused The Shape of Punk to Come
Format: Vinyl
Finally got around to getting this classic on vinyl. This record speaks for itself. Its hands down a punk essential, as well as music itself. So glad to finally have it on Vinyyl. |
3 | | Gorguts From Wisdom to Hate
Format: Vinyl
The Superb follow-up to Gorguts's 1998 Classic. Here we see gorguts continue to innovate new sounds and push the boundaries of Death Metal as a whole. |
4 | | Godspeed You! Black Emperor Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada
Format: Vinyl
This EP from the Post-Rock legends stands as one of my favorite EPs of all time, complete with some of the best buildups a man can hear, and a humble price tag of $14.99. Definitley a steal, as well as a superb album. |
5 | | Code Orange Love Is Love // Return To Dust
Format: Vinyl
There's nothing I can say about this fantastic record that i haven't said in my review. Excellent album, and very happy to have it on vinyl. |
6 | | GridLink Longhena
Format: Vinyl
The beautiful bastard child of Discordance Axis, Gridlink. This technical and emotional grind release stands as one of metal's best of 2014. The Vinyl came with an art book that does, indeed look like a live action Neon Genesis Evangelion. |
7 | | J Dilla The Shining
Format: Vinyl
Actually, I Purchased the limited Record Store Day 2015 7" of "Love/Inst.", Originally released on The Shining, but its not in the data base yet. Anyway, this track is a Great collaboration between possibly Hip-Hop's greatest producer (J Dilla) and an Excellent MC (Pharoahe Monch). |
8 | | Faith No More Album of the Year
Format: CD
Solid album from a classic band. Looking forward to see what they're going to do on their new record this year. |
