06.22.08 | I've heard all of the Bodom albums and I would personally have FTR, SW and finally Hatebreeder. Aside from that, I have only heard Kalmah's new album which was good and Norther's new one which wasnt. |

06.22.08 | I prefer Children of Bodom to Kalmah for sentimental reasons, and cuz of Hatebreeder really. But I agree that Kalmah has been a lot more solid. Norther is easily the weakest of the three imo but their first two albums rule. |

Not too big of a fan so I guess I let it slip but technically Insomnium should take Children Of Bodoms place because Children Of Bodom aren't even melo deth, at least in my opinion. Honestly, I don't see it. I guess the same would go for Norther too so I pickled myself here. |

06.22.08 | Well I quoted melo death in the title, I guess I kinda meant that these three bands are generally lumped together for being similar. Children of Bodom maybe the only truly influential one, but when I think of finning metal these bands are the first that come to my mind.
If Insomnium were here, Above the Weeping World would be somewhere in the top five (not first though, probably 2-4) and STDIACD would be Probably just ahead or behind HCDR. Their debut would be around where Swampsong is probably. Awesome band. |

08.14.08 | Hatebreeder should not be top...many terrible riffs (Towards Dead End, Children of Bodom) and the keyboards getting annoyingly wankish. The Black Waltz is also way too high (it's not bad, just is kinda boring overall), but other than that good list. |
