The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways
One word to describe this album, GRAND. The production value of this album is amazing. The theatrics are superb and the concept worked so well with the bands sound and feel. This is by far my #1 pick of 2014

Disgusting
This album was highly anticipated by me when vocalist/ multi-instrumentalist Caleb Shomo first left Attack Attack!. He is my "hardcore" inspiration. When this album came out he did not fail to meet and exceed my expectations. With lyrics that hit my heart and a different form of hardcore then I am used too. Beartooth's album Disgusting is close to my heart and was a pretty great Debut.

The Hunting Party
My favorite band this year released one of their best efforts in years. The Hunting party came out of left field from where LP was going. The Hunting Party was fast, it was heavy, and it was loud! Much like #2 this has a very stripped down sound to it, little to no electronics with pure aggression added into the mix. LP has now set the bar for their next release.

Ashes to Ashes
I'll keep it short here. This album is just far above anything they have released before. They had high ambitions and reached them in my opinion.

Restoring Force
Not what I expected (or wanted) but this was a big surprise to me. Granted this album has many flaws it is enjoyable to listen too and has lyrics that I can relate too and love.

02.25.15 | I bought 2 and 3 as well. 2 has some great tracks, as well as 3, but neither really had anything astounding to it.
Side note, "One More" off of 2 sounded like an Avenged Sevenfold track the first time I heard it. | Linx
02.27.15 | I'm not a fan of Avenged Seven Fold so I wouldn't of noticed a similarity. Is there a song you had in specific to check out to hear the similarity? |
