| Music Library On Hard Copy Vs. Digital
So I'm just wondering what are the benefits and problems of having a music library on hard copy (like vinyl and Cd and stuff) and versus a library completely on a computer interface. I've got a substantial music collection of around 100 LP cds, but I'm starting to second guess pouring so much cash into building a hard copy library when i can just download it. I don't know, any thoughts? | | 1 | | Weezer Pinkerton | | 2 | | Green Day Dookie | |

02.10.15 | Hard Copy Pros: liner notes, better sound quality, physical library
HC Cons: more expensive
Digital Pros: cheaper, more convenient, can get just a couple if wanted
D Cons: can lose entire library in a crash | Davil667
02.10.15 | Digital sound is a bit like fast food. The quality lacks and it changes the way you 'consume' and enjoy music. It's kind of a bad habit to download all the music just becaus it's easier available. I'd always go with hard copies as this way you also have a digital version at hand if needed. Hard copies all the way dude m/ | zakalwe
02.10.15 | Hard copies are a treasure, digital music is a pleasure | omnipanzer
02.10.15 | If you are okay with the negatives that go along with having Vinyl (space consumption, maintenance, more expensive hardware, etc) then it's totally worth the sound quality.
Any other format just go digital. | Torontonian
02.10.15 | ya if you wanna get the most out of albums you love then buy hard copies, and the old books smell is true for used vinyl hehe. |
