Bought 4 new rap CDs, its been a while since i've had that feeling of rpeeling off the sticker on rthe top of the CD, ah.rThis is what I bought, anyone heard any of these? The Hunt for the Gingerbread Man
Grimm's albums are between very and mildly inconsistent, but they always have a
few tracks that is some of the best rap i've ever heard. The exception is the tripple
CD American Hunger, which is even better and is probably 45/60 songs of superb+ material. Havent
spun this and will do so tomorrow. This is the only Grimm CD i haven't heard yet. | | 3 | | El-P

Califormula
I'm more excited about discovering Ellay Khule than I have been since I
discovered DOOM in highschool. He is an insanely skilled emcee that also
combines aspects of jazz and soul into his music, but still while mainting a distinct
boom bap sound. Only heard this once so far, doesn't seem to be as good as his
masterpiece "Holy Scriptures", but is still at least a 4/5 easily, probably will be a
4.5 to me soon... you gotta check him out if you haven't. start here

Project F.E.T.U.S.
Out of the two new CDs i've listened to, this is my favorite. This is the album after
Masters of the Universe, before S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M. I have no idea why it wasn't in
the database, this is close to as good as both of those albums, which means its
almost a classic. | |
