DrGonzo1937: 10 Disappointing Albums From 2014

DrGonzo1937 12.24.14	Though none of these albums are bad, they are albums I had a higher expectation for and didn't deliver.

Faraudo 12.24.14	You had higher expectations for the Linkin Park record? How on earth is that possible? 3 of 5 singles released prior sucked major ass, and the best songs were non-singles, released with the album. Maybe you have your reasons, but i'd say that it surpassed my expectatios, mainly because of the horrible singles, most of them at least.

AliW1993 12.24.14	Rave Tapes isn't a record that's going to wow anyone, but I was still pretty surprised by the largely negative reception here. I wasn't overly enamored with Once More 'Round the Sun either, but seeing its songs played live really sold that record to me.

AcidCaravan 12.24.14	I was curious to lend an ear to the new Primus one...always loved that band, and even if their previous one ["Green Naugahyde"] wasn't a masterpiece like their old records, it was a pretty decent listen to me in the end. About the rest of yr list, well, Linkin Park always sucked IMO. And the only Foo Fighters records I really dug (and I dug them a lot) were 1995's debut and 1997's "The Colour and the Shape" so....Oh and I agree on the Mogwai one too. Cheers

insomniac15 01.04.15	Linkin Park, Mogwai and Foo Fighters released quite weak records indeed. I want The Mars Volta back goddamnit!!!!!!!! I found the Mastodon record quite good, I wouldn't call it a disappointment.
