55Atmosphere
Southsiders

Ugh. 2.0.
54Future
Honest

2.0.
53The Game
Year of the Wolf

The imagery in the bonus track "Bloody Moon" was uncomfortable and very unnecessary. 2.5.
52Yung Lean
Unknown Memory

Didn't like this at all the first listen. I should give this another try but I probably won't. 2.5.
51Young Jeezy
Seen it All: The Autobiography

I'm sure we can all agree that "Me Ok" is the best song of 2014. 2.5.
50YG
My Krazy Life

2.5.
4950 Cent
Animal Ambition

Honestly though, "Don't Worry Bout' it" is an awesome song. 3.0.
48Your Old Droog
Your Old Droog

I really don't see why this album is such a big deal. 3.0.
47Chris Travis
Silence of Me Eternally

worst album I've heard this entire year, but I'm giving it a 3.
46Madchild
Switched On

3.0.
45Andy Mineo
Never Land

Coming out of the same camp as Lecrae, you should know what to expect. Decent project with
potential to do a lot better. 3.0.
44The Grouch and Eligh
The Tortoise and The Crow

Some Really good songs but way too many duds. 3.0.
43ProbCause
Waves

This is what happens when you let Spotify discover music for you. Childish Gambino meets
Chance the rapper but not nearly as good, of course. 3.0.
42Black Knights
Medieval Chamber

3.0.
41Shabazz Palaces
Lese Majesty

3.0.
40Alpha MC and Pigeon John
The Rebound

Sorta like a mix between The Doppelgangaz and Vince Staples. 3.0.
39T.I.
Paperwork

3.0.
38Lil Herb
Welcome to Fazoland

3.0.
37Mac Miller
Faces

A lot of good songs but its way too long. 3.0.
36The Underachievers
Cellar Door: Terminus Ut Exordium

These guys are trying to hard. 3.0.
35Bones
Garbage

It's something about Bones and his crew, a lot of their songs are sooo bad they're good, if
that makes sense? 3.5.
34Antwon
Heavy Hearted in Doldrums

Way too many sexual lyrics and the production could use some work. 3.5.
33Uncommon Nasa
New York Telephone

Very rough and grimy New York style hip-hop album. The gripe I have with this is that the
extent of how great the best songs on this project are, the worst songs are equally as bad.
3.5.
32The Doppelgangaz
Peace KEHD

With all the praise this was getting, I was expecting a lot more. 3.5.
31Mobb Deep
The Infamous Mobb Deep

3.5.
30Lecrae
Anomaly

Jesus, god, lord, savior. This guy can spit and make a good track though. 3.5.
29Bones
Skinny

Half of me wants to give this a 1.0 and the other half a 5.0. So I think I'll meet in the
somewhat in middle.3.5.
28Spaceghostpurrp
IntoXXXicated

3.5.
27King Louie
Tony

Best of the Drill. 3.5.
26Deniro Farrar

The Tonite Show

3.5.
24J. Cole
2014 Forest Hills Drive

3.5.
23K. Flay
Life as a Dog

Why did I enjoy an album where some chick is crying about what seems to be her ex as much
as I did? 3.5.
22Busdriver
Perfect Hair

Thought I was going to enjoy this a little bit more, since I am a driver of buses with perfect
hair. 3.5.
21Clipping
CLPPNG

Great experimental hip-hop. 3.5.
20 Common
Nobody's Smiling

Do your thing, Common. 3.5.
19Vince Staples
Hell Can Wait

Dude killed it on "Hive" so I listened to this right away and I was pleased with it. 3.5.
18Sir Michael Rocks
Banco

Not the most technical or blah blah blah but nonetheless, it is a very fun listen. 3.5.
17Ab-Soul
These Days...

Seriously this album has a lot of great tracks and I wanted to rank it higher but like everyone
else, my main complaint is that it's a jumbled mess. 3.5.
16 Black Milk
If There's a Hell Below

4.0.
15Pharoahe Monch
PTSD: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

4.0.
14NehruvianDOOM
NehruvianDOOM

4.0.
13Open Mike Eagle
Dark Comedy

4.0.
12Freddie Gibbs and Madlib
Pinata

4.0.
11Schoolboy Q
Oxymoron

Subject matter may lack a bit, but definitely his best work to date and I don't care what
anyone says. A very well thought out idea, good bars from Q and the guest verses (I hate to
say it but even 2 Chains), banging beats and a fun listen. What else could you want? 4.0.
10Step Brothers
Lord Steppington

4.0.
9Diamond District
March on Washington

First project I've heard from these guys and I was thoroughly impressed. Not one song
sounds the same as another and all the lyrics on point. 4.0.
8Run the Jewels
Run the Jewels 2

A little more of a grower than their previous project. 4.0.
7Logic
Under Pressure

I was truly surprised by how much I enjoyed this album, hopefully he can follow up. 4.0.
6RATKING
So it Goes

Eagles are our brothers and flowers are our daughters. 4.0.
5Rittz
Next to Nothing

Excellent follow up to his slightly disappointing debut. On this record he proves he has more
aspects to his game than the double time flow. 4.0.
4Sadistik
Ultraviolet

Wouldn't expect anything less from him. If you've been sleeping on this guy, stop. 4.0.
3Isaiah Rashad
Cilvia Demo

Wasting no time, this cat comes out of nowhere to prove that he's for real. He has a very
unique flow and flows great over any beat. Who woulda knew the new cat in TDE would walk
away from 2014 with the best project from their camp? 4.0.
2Mick Jenkins
The Water[s]

Excellent conceptual album that has everything you could ask for. The constant water
references do get stale about halfway through and is the only thing holding this back. 4.0.
1Milo
a toothpaste suburb

Nerd rap to the max but there's no denying the amount of thought, time and precision that
took to craft the album. Intelligent and intellectual lyrics, dream-like beats and spine-tingling
moments all put together to create this year?s hip-hop album of the year. 4.5.
