Toxic Scenes

Just some things from experience.
1The Exploited
Punks Not Dead

As the punk-scene was the first I tried to get in, I immediately was warmly
welcomed, everyone seemed like nice people. That's basically how it stayed until I
saw them thrash bands for trying to experiment, getting more well-known or being
"too melodic". I don't know how long I stayed there, but they basically threw me
out after I started to listen to more metal.
2Between the Buried and Me
Colors

After joining the metal scene, for a while, it all seemed the same as my starting
days in the punk-scene. Until I reached the internet and got to listen to non-
european metalheads and metalcore-fanatics. Either your music is not brutal, true
or kult enough, it is too mainstream, or it doesn't have enough "totally br00tal
breakdowns, brah". I fled from this scene as I dug deeper into my ever-growing love
of rap.
3Clipping
CLPPNG

I have no idea what the rap-scene wants, because no matter which music I listen
to, it's always wrong. Artsy, poetic stuff? BACKPACKER! Dumb, trill shit? SWAGG*T!
Relatable suburban stuff? NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR THAT! Conscious rap? ARE YOU
TRYING TO GET US ANGRY? I think it's weird. How can music bring up so much hate
in your mind? And I mean, now that I started rapping 2 years ago myself, I want to
spare you the messages that I have gotten. There is no great conclusion to this
list. Congrats to Hip-Hop for being the most toxic/elitist scene I've ever been in,
though. Like, damn.
