| Albums That Got Me Into Jazz
There's a whole lot of other jazz that I enjoy, but these albums are what
really got me into it. | 1 | | Miles Davis Kind of Blue
I was learning to play All Blues on guitar and it got stuck in my head so often that I
decided to check the whole album out. I'd always "liked" jazz in the sense that I didn't
mind if it was playing, but this was the first jazz album that got me excited for class or
whatever I was doing to be over so I could go listen to it. | 2 | | BADBADNOTGOOD BBNG2
This band is the shit. All three of these guys are really talented musicians and they play
some really innovative, yet accessible music. | 3 | | Bill Evans and Jim Hall Undercurrent
It's just piano and guitar, but this is some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.
Idk, I don't have a lot of words for this album, just go listen to Romain and you'll get it. | |

10.23.14 | I'd give a vital organ to be able to play the piano parts in Blue In Green like Bill Evans does. | TwigTW
10.23.14 | That Bill Evans album is great, especially in the wee hours of the morning . . . gotta love that cover too. | Chrisjon89

10.23.14 | Yeh, Bill Evans is the man most definitely.
Even though my parents listen to jazz, I got into it through hip-hop - just checking up on the samples and stuff. I love that part. | Funeralopolis
10.23.14 | Honestly surprised jazz isn't more popular, it isn't like even slow and boring if you don't want it to be, some jazz fusion and hard-bop can be some of the most engaging, spiritual and intense music out there.
John Coltrane- a love supreme = one of the best albums ever
eric dolphy- out to lunch! = off kilter, weird, rocks hard
miles davis- bitches brew= I prefer miles' more jazz fusion stuff, I love how it just jams so hard yet has this sort of spiritual vibe to it. | SharkTooth
10.23.14 | "Honestly surprised jazz isn't more popular, it isn't like even slow and boring if you don't want it to be,"
