Classic Albums

A list of albums that I think everybody should have. WIP.
1Nine Inch Nails
The Fragile

Simply a superb album; moody, dark, brooding and extremely catchy. For me this marks the pinnacle of Nine Inch Nail's career, with their most inventive and thoughtful songwriting on display.
2Pearl Jam
Ten

This album was the album that got me into rock/grunge (and subsequently heavier stuff) in the first place. The guitar work on this album is some of the best that I've ever heard, and Eddie Vedder's voice is so unique that it is the stand out feature of the album. Jeremy is possibly my favorite song ever.
3Killswitch Engage
Alive or Just Breathing

The only metal album that I have come across that is both listenable on it's own (for the sake of listening to it) and also a complete mosh-tastics romp. Besides that, the combination of Jesse Leach's voice and the chugging, mosh inducing riffs just makes me want to get up and go to a gig. Excellent Stuff.
4Red Hot Chili Peppers
BloodSugarSexMagik

From the start to the finish, all the songs are good (well, maybe with the exception of "they're red hot"). Funky, and boistrous I think that this shows what RHCP are truly capable.
5Herbie Hancock
Headhunters

One word: "Chameleon". The opening bass line, that track just keeps going, Harvey Mason is truly a master of the sticks, the groove he lays down is the best that I have ever heard. The last track is a bit lackluster, but the first 3 are all excellent.
