05.25.08 | Most of these I'm about to list are kinda because you've got Isis (and to an extent, Tool) in your list, but I'm pretty sure from the bands you've listed that you'll like most of them...
Rosetta - "Wake/Lift" then "The Galilean Satellites"
*Shels - "Sea of the Dying Dhow"
Bossk - ".1" then ".2"
The Ocean - "Precambrian" (has a bit of a Botch-y noisecore kinda influence, as well as the post-metal element, if you're into that).
Russian Circles - "Enter" (and probably "Station" too, although I haven't heard it yet, but I've heard it's supposed to be good).
Princess - "Superstructure of an Era" (kinda like electronic post-metal).
Amusement Parks on Fire - "Out of the Angeles"
Devin Townsend - "Terria"
In Pieces - "Lions Write History" (check out DFelon's review, it was what persuaded me to get this album).
Mr. Bungle - "California"
and if TheDistantFuture's review and the one song i've heard are anything to go by, probably check out "Transmutations" by Yakuza too.
okay, i'm done now. | SCREAM!
05.25.08 | Disillusion - Back To Times Of Splendor | Jim
05.26.08 | judging by your list man, i'd say mellower stuff like type 0 negative, deftones, devin townsend, and definitely pink floyd.
for metal, i'd say opeth, amorphis and dream theater. it's good "gateway" music i think. |
