|2 Years On Sputnik!|
Two years ago, I finally decided to officially make an account on here. Honestly I had no idea what in the fuck to expect while I was on here but now I'm so happy that I am. I got to meet some new friends and jam some totally awesome music that I had no idea existed. Honestly if I wasn't for Sputnik, I probably wouldn't be as huge into music as I am now. Thank you guys for some totally awesome years. The list is some great music that I discovered and some great people I've meet ever since I've been on here.
|1||Godspeed You! Black Emperor|
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas...
Mongi123: Definitely the person that I talk to most on here, and he's a great guy. Always giving me feedback on my reviews, showing me some great music, and also a great writer himself. This is the guy who got me into post-rock and I'm glad he did. This album in general is probably one of the best album I've ever listened to.
Arcade: Probably my favorite writer on here. (Sorry staff) He always has something amusing to say when he writes reviews. Other than that he's been such a great guy to talk to.
SowingSeason: I don't really talk to him all that much but he's definitely my favorite staff writer on here. But when I do talk to him, he's always such a nice guy to the people around him.
Green Baron: Even if he left the site, he was always a great person to talk to on the threads, not to mention a great writer as well. Seriously though, why hasn't he gotten a contributor position yet?
|5||Sugary Sweet Machines|
Judio!: Great writer, great person, and a great musician. Need I say more?
|6||Rhapsody of Fire|
Power of the Dragonflame
ASnideReturns: Even if I don't share his BVB love, I can still share my Breaking Benjamin love with him. Say what you will about his ratings/opinions, he's still a great person overall.
Futures: Even if he can be an inconsiderate troll (and I have clashed with him quite a few times :P) he's still a fun person. Yeah I've had my bouts with him but I remember when I first met him he was a really nice guy.
Jom: Can't forget about this guy of course. Funny, upbeat, and does his job really well.
Deviant: Even if he's a bit more serious about his job, he's still a good person, hell even really funny at times. He pretty much sets people straight (even me) whenever they become a nuisance, of course not saying Jom doesn't do that as well.
Ecnalzen: The guy who pretty much introduced me to Chevelle and I'm so glad he did cause holy shit they're a great band. But in any case he's another great person I can talk to (usually alongside Mongi).
|11||Wolves in the Throne Room|
Insurrection: A great, a funny person, as well as a great reviewer.
|12||Dead Letter Circus|
This is the Warning
fromtheinside: Even if he and I can't agree on much, he's still a funny guy just to talk to. He's like KILL in certain aspects, only that I talk to him more. :P
ScuroFantasma: Another great reviewer and always deals a great amount of support to me when I write.
DrGonzo: Another person whom I can share my Breaking Benjamin love to, even if his opinions differ from mine about them. Still though, a great person.
fallenbird: Even if he and I disagree with Linkin Park's ATS album, at he and I can agree with Anberlin for the most part. Another great person to talk to.
|16||Animals as Leaders|
The Joy of Motion
TheMoreira: My metalcore pal for the most part, though I haven't heard from him in a while. Don't know what happened to him.
The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
Clifgard: Even if he doesn't post on here all that often (for good reasons I might add) he's still a fantastic writer. Sure he only does the Christian rock/pop genre but I don't mind. All I care about is how really calm and collective he can be, especially on a site like this. Great person.
House of Gold and Bones - Part 1
FiveLeavesLeft: Even if he's banned, he was still a good person to just hang around and chat with.
|19||Queens of the Stone Age|
Songs for the Deaf
TPM731: My power metal buddy, and a great reviewer as well. Though again I haven't seen him all that much on here. He probably has his reasons.
Thank you all for two wonderful, and musically arousing years on here. I never would have managed to meet so many new people and listen to such amazing music if it wasn't for this site. Can't wait to see what in store for me in the coming future!
