Yep I do find myself drumming to Steely Dan, Mars Volta, QOTSA, Refused, Mastodon. Yes, drumming to hip hop/rap records is fun since everything is to a drum machine.

[most] meshuggah really isnt ridiculously hard if you have a sense of how their parts are structured (odd rhythms placed over a 4/4 groove). of course you need to be fairly patient with learning the rhythms, but theres usually nothing insanely fast or anything.
