09.16.14 | If you haven't already, check out Rapture. Silent Stage and Songs for the Withering are both excellent. Silent Stage might be closer to the two bands you mentioned.

09.18.14 | I'm not too well versed on the older stuff but I remember it being more straight up melodic death metal. The Cold White Light and the Funeral Album are both close to newer Amorphis, but there are no death metal vocals on those albums. I would recommend The Cold White Light. |
