09.07.14 | This was pretty easy for me. The title track for #1 is in the top 5 of the best black metal songs of all time. Varg Vikernes wrote half of the songs on Transilvanian Hunger, and it shows. It's repetitive, droning, and never gives the listener a break. The production is also quite similar to Hvis Lyset Tar Oss with the guitar being in the very front of the mix, with the vocals behind it, followed by the bass and drums. A masterpiece from a stylistic point of view. |
