| Sonata Arctica Albums Ranked
Just for the hell of it | | 1 | | Sonata Arctica Reckoning Night
Dark, progressive, atmospheric, masterpeice. | | 2 | | Sonata Arctica Ecliptica
Stratovarius's Visions on crack, even better than that album | | 3 | | Sonata Arctica Silence
Pretty much on par with Ecliptica, they started getting their own sound here | | 4 | | Sonata Arctica Winterheart's Guild
The last of their 5/5 albums, great wintery atmosphere and amazing keyboards here. | | 5 | | Sonata Arctica Pariah's Child
A decent comeback, not as good as i hoped but great non the less. | | 6 | | Sonata Arctica Stones Grow Her Name
Half decent half great, some nice power metal numbers mixed in with more poppy stuff | | 7 | | Sonata Arctica Unia
Bit too midpaced, gets boring real fast, still good though. | | 8 | | Sonata Arctica The Days Of Grays
Gets boring after Flag In The Ground, decent album but nothing special. | |

yes....
*saw 3*
yeah alright, should be two but yeessss
*saw 7 below 6*
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Unia is a fine record, albeit inconsistent | Sabrutin
08.31.14 | Switch 8 with 6 and we can agree to an extent, although I think Ecliptica is not THAT good.
| ChoccyPhilly
08.31.14 | Unia is like 4 or 5. Put it there and lower ecliptica and you have my list | Snowdog808
08.31.14 | I like Pariah's Child as well, though Ecliptica is way better. | Sabrutin
08.31.14 | I listened again in full to The Days of Grays and holy hell I liked almost everything in it a lot. This would be my ranking:
Winterheart's Guild / Silence
Reckoning Night / The Days of Grays
Ecliptica
Pariah's Child
Unia
Stones Grow Her Name
The Days of Grays is basically how Unia should have been for me. | ChoccyPhilly
08.31.14 | Does no one like unia like I do?
Reckoning Night
Silence
Unia
Ecliptica
Winterheart's guild
Pariah's child
Days
stones | Sabrutin
08.31.14 | I think his description of Unia would basically be mine, it simply lacks any kind of hook. I see its charm though, that's why I don't consider it bad. It's just... not for me. I changed my mind on Reckoning Night and The Days of Grays (especially the second) but I can't with Unia. | ChoccyPhilly
08.31.14 | Nah fair enough, nice that there are other SA fans on here anyway. Days and Stones came out when I was really outgrowing the idea of catchy chorus', so i guess it just appeals to me less now | Xenorazr
08.31.14 | Well stuff like that can only tide you over so long before the click snaps off, whereas other albums click and tend to stay that way. | Sabrutin
08.31.14 | That's why I don't like Ecliptica as much as I used to. | ChoccyPhilly
08.31.14 | @xen damn you get it perfectly. The stuff which takes longer to grow is always the stuff you like for longer. I think i should probably switch Ecliptica with Winterheart's Guild | Rik VII
08.31.14 | I like Unia and Days of Grays wayyy more than Stones and Pariah's Child. But I agree that 1 is 1. |
