| Best Album & Song Of All Time?
Thought i'd pay credence to my favourite song of all time and my favourite ralbum of all time. rBoth unconventional choices, especially in the last of rsputnik, i know. So what are your choices? rI doubt any of you will agree rwith me but it will still be interesting to see what you guys think. | 2 | | Olafur Arnalds Eulogy For Evolution
Song - 3055: Interesting choice for some, I know. It surprisingly isn't a PT song but
something that is simpler, yet still has such a huge impact on me. Long story short, it's a
minimal/neoclassical song. Whether this isn't for you (NO RIFFZ, NO SONG) or you just don't
think it's that great then that's cool. Starting off with a lonesome piano and violin, it paints a
picture of misery and sadness of a hopeless nature where everything that could possibly have
gone wrong truly has gone wrong. It may be a slow affair but the atmosphere really is the
importance of this track, where a wind sample really adds to the effect of isolation. However,
this isn't what makes the song so great. What makes the song so good is the climax and wow,
does it sure as hell do that well. Everything starts to happen faster and bit by bit, there's more
optimism to be heard in this bleak situation until the track comes to life with drums, layered
strings and pirouetting above piano arpeggios that have now too come to life. Regardless of
how bleak it was, it makes me want to believe in anything and everything all at once all in just
over 5 minutes. This truly is the definition of the effect music has on someone. However, no
matter how many words I write, it will never do this track any good and I encourage you all to
listen for yourselves. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed:

Oh what's that? Not converge? or Opeth? or anything prog? What even is this thing you place in front of
me as the best album of all time!? No, it's something different altogether: a new age album that boasts
highs that are unparalleled with anything i've ever heard before. Is it something for everyone?
Certainly not but that's not what it tries to be. Like Jane Doe, you need to be in the right mood to listen
to this as it's a slow, repetitive listen that doesn't reveal its secrets all at once, or whenever you expect
them to really. Expect a relaxing, hypnotising album that MUST be listened to as whole for the full
effect, crossing themes of love, lust, religion, and the end. Like 3055, putting this into words is a huge
struggle, especially because I don't listen to anything like this either. However, at a time when you're in
perfect equilibrium with yourself and everything around you, give this a spin, for it is a sonic journey

08.29.14 | Sorry, couldnt hear you over the subjectiveness of music.
The whole point of this list is to see variety, not a wankfest of Jane Doe. There are enough lists like that already here | jefflebowski
