Metalcore Bands That Are Awesome

You may know some of these or not. But if your looking for something great. Plus none of that Pop Punk bullshit. You should hear these.
1Parkway Drive

Amazing screams, Thrash Metal quality solos and Guitar work. Just a bunch of regular guys playing metal that get the place moving in a circle pit. That's Parkway Drive in a nutshell. Killing with a Smile and Horizons show off so much talent. But Deep Blue and Atlas show off the different things they add to there own spin on Metalcore.
2Killswitch Engage

The foundation of the modern metalcore sound. What Metallica did for Thrash Metal, What The Beatles did for Rock music, What Michael Jackson did for Dance music. Killswitch Engage did for the metalcore genre. Two amazing vocalists have been in the band. It's hard to say if Howard Jones or Jesse Leach is better because I love both of them. But the amazing guitars and furious sounds make Killswitch Engage an awesome band to hear. End of Heartache is brutal while being very melodic with the vocals. With the newest album Disarm the Descent takes some cues from the old school Killswitch Engage but adds in small elements from End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies.
3As I Lay Dying

Although the band's future is basically dead now due to Tim Lambesis charges. As I Lay Dying was such an incredible band. Hard Hitting Vocals and Amazing Guitar Work make this band awesome to hear. Shadows are Security and Frail Word Collapse show off the best content from As I Lay Dying. If you also want to hear what the former As I Lay Dying band members are doing right now check out Wovenwar.
4Being as an Ocean

These guys have only been around for about 3 years. But shit they've already produced some killer songs. You can seriously compare the guitar work to shit like Tool. Really good shit for a new band. Can't wait to hear more of what's coming in the future.
5For the Fallen Dreams

For the Fallen Dreams has some really great stuff. They have to be talked about if your looking some hard hitting mosh pit music. The content from there latest album Heavy Hearts will get shit going crazy. It's really fucking brutal and it gets eveyone having a blast. Changes also has some really awesome stuff thrown in for good use. Awesome use of heavy guitars and breakdowns. With great hardcore vocals. Plus Back Burner is the biggest change they done with clean vocals in the songs and the lack of bass. Overall a great hardcore band to hear.
6Veil of Maya

A very hard hitting band for what they do. The sound has somewhat changed over the past couple of years. But Veil of Maya always stays consistent with it's metalcore. They go from writing some really catchy shit with it's guitars to some deep hardcore breakdowns. The Common's man Collapse has Deathcore like vocals but the guitars always stay on point. All Things Set Aside which has a very raw production is also another classic from the band and in my opinion the band's best work.
7Unearth

A Metalcore band that also transcends into the Thrash Metal genre with it's riffs. The hard hitting screams and epic guitars will get any metal fan jumping. With great masterpieces like The Oncoming Storm and Darkness in the Light. It is a band that not only metalcore fans should check out. But all Metal fans in general.
8Affiance

Another Metalcore band that styles genres when it comes to metal. The riffs are so powerful and catchy. The vocals are some of the best you'll hear in the genre. There are some excellent cleans that you don't get from too many Metalcore bands. As the band focuses more on clean vocals then screaming and growling. With two albums out so far with "No Secrets Revealed" and "The Campaign" these guys seriously know what they are doing in today's Metalcore industry. With there 3rd album Blackout coming soon you really have to see what these guys are made of in the industry.
9Avenged Sevenfold

NOTE: This is the early A7X. Anything after Waking the Fallen doesn't count. But the early stuff is quite good. If your looking for Avenged Sevenfold's early beginnings check the stuff out. You may love it or hate it. But I do enjoy it. Though anything after the White album I could careless about. Too much of either a mainstream sound or none of the songs hook me.
10Miss May I

Miss May I has it's audience as many of it's fans are divided on the albums. Some say they need to stick to there roots while others think evolution is a good thing. I still believe Monument has the best content they got. With some hard hitting guitars that will get a circle pit started. At Heart gave them another boost as well with another great approach to metalcore. Really good shit to get into.
11The Ghost Inside

An awesome hardcore band that gets shit going. The Ghost Inside takes an influence from For The Fallen Dreams in someways. But it adds to it even more. Reutrners has a bunch of awesome riffs that show off the bands muscle with the vocals that are quite good. Plus Get What You Give improves on the concept even more and keeps assaulting you with awesome hardcore tracks after another.
12The Word Alive

A band that knows it's audience well. Incredible vocals that hit you hard and if you see them live you won't want to stop jumping or moshing. Deceiver shows how different they were when this album dropped. It had alot of awesome moments and I wanted to continue hearing more. Life Cycles also continued that heavy style but it added a few new elements. There newest album Real although I'm not a big fan of it I do respect that The Word Alive is always trying to do something different with the metalcore genre in so many awesome ways.
